Porto da Barra is wonderful! Those who go to the harbour can see several sea tatarugas, fishermen and at the end of the day a breathtaking sunset! There are several very busy restaurants that leave the street of the stones behind.

Praia dos Manguinhos is quite shallow and faces north in the southern section and faces north east/ east further up, with a good curve to it. There is a great windsurf and smallboat sailing school there and also a great many bars and restaurants mostly by night.
Sometimes the restaurant scene will be completely closed so be sure to check what´s going on throughout the month to make sure you don´t get there and find that everything is empty.
Búzios is amazing all year round, being the go-to peninsula for beach, surf and party, Between april and september you can find some bargains for hotels. My wife and I found a great guesthouse with breakfast for 100 reals a night off season.
The price for everything rises significantly between november and march.
For me the best beach destination on the coast is Búzios.
Try pousada Alice - a wonderful garden with pool!

Best beach for Biking and having a bit of quiet reading yoga meditation. We were staying at Yucas posada, former 1st Wind Surfing place in Brazil and now posada and Events/ Wedding place. Great Beach to Marry with teh Sunset as a background!

Very pretty beach which continues a long way. On the way you have lots of restaurants, places where you can rent a sup board or go for sailing or a jet ski ride and to do another water sports!
I was surprised that the beach is quit quiet! Other beaches in buzios are quit crowdy but this one was perfect! Only the sea was looking a bit dirty, but the water was very warm!

This place is one of the most beautiful sunset that I have seen in my life, the bars and restaurants are so nice, it´s a pity that it´s forbidden music here.

We're fortunate enough to have a restaurant, Gramophone Lounge, at Porto da Barra - just metres away from this beach. The beach itself is a wonderful place to enjoy the afternoon sun and to watch the sunset before enjoying an evening meal. Being on a peninsular it can be a bit breezy but, particularly on a calm day, it's a very pleasant place to be.

I have visited this beach for sailing what made my experience awesome. Wind gets on its right direction here and make a enjoyable experience with this flat sea.
There is a couple houses right on the shore and there is a sailing club as well.

Fantástic beach and pier with very cozy and good restaurants at the sea front. Convenient to stay with houses with seafront and good beach walk, only 5 minutes from the rua das pedras, at the city center.

One of the best sunset of Buzios. From manguinhos Beach you are able to enjoy great restaurants, see the fisherman's boat , the pier, its also a place where many couples come to take engagement and wedding photos.

Mi recomendacion es que vayas a ver las puesta del sol a Manguinhos. Hay unos barcitos preciosos con sillones para difrutar una hermosa vista tomando un trago. Tambien se puede acceder a un muelle y apreciar la puesta del sol desde alli. Para disfrutar el dia hay playas muchisimo mejores, como joao fernandez, ferradura, etc
