I hated the experience. Although the view of the sea is amazing, the space in the sand, which is not extensive, is already completely taken over by kiosks, chairs and wardrobes, creating an uncomfortable and claustrophobic feeling. A shame. Beautiful place, but detonated by human action.

We went after spending the whole day at Joao Fernandez. As the afternoon arrived, the sun was very beautiful going down on the horizon. Very young compared to her "sister" Fernandez, she goes down some stairs. Nice to get to know both on the same day, maybe less time on the first one and then get to know the second better.

It's a little piece of paradise!
It's worth visiting, it's easy to access via a staircase shortly after João Fernandes.
I found the food options expensive, at the same level as João Fernandes' options.
Other than that, it's beautiful, the water is perfect!

We are a young couple (29yrs) and live in Sydney and have traveled to many countries for their beaches. Our expectations of a good beach is not too commercialized, not too crowded, a nice quiet, clean and clear waters, shallow, calm conditions for swim and good surf conditions for surfing.
As a diver, I would not even rate these beaches for their snorkeling as one or two fishes swimming around does not count as a snorkeling beach for us.
This beach and the next beach Joao Fernandez, is filled with umbrellas and chairs, to a point where there is no room for you to set up. The restaurant waiters hassling you every step you go. For a Thursday mid morning, on a non public holiday season (April is also considered a low season), this beach was packed full of tourists. I would say if you are a regular beach goer and likes a less crowded beach, skip visiting this beach. I can't imagine what it's like on a weekend and peak season.
We stayed there for 5 minutes and moved on. We definitely didn't come all the way from Australia to see this overcrowded beach.

There were too many people and with high tides, there are no room for anyone, leaving that aside, it´s a beautiful place and very good snorkelling 50m away from shore.

We visited this place on a wednesday early in the morning. We wanted to find a beach thats perfect for us.
We walked along Joao Fernandes which was quite crowded and at the end there was a set of rocks, we braved the climb through crab territory. There are planks in the tricky places which which eased the route. The beach we met was beautiful, the water was clear and the service was good. We felt tucked away and loved the vibe.

We took a 10 Reals water-taxi to this beach on a Tuesday during the busy season and had the best time! We were greeted right away and seated with two chairs and an umbrella fairly close to the beach. It was a little busy in the morning, but everyone cleared out at noon to go to other beaches. It was perfect, small, relaxing and quiet. The water was calm and there were many children playing in the water because it was very safe. The servers were very friendly, efficient, and happy. The beach looks like it belongs on a post-card. It's surrounded by rocks that were climbable even for a wimp like me and we climbed the perimeter to take the usual I'm-on-vacay-in-an-exotic-place pictures. The water was blue-green/emerald green and crystal clear which made it easy to see fish and coral. We stayed the entire day there and left before sunset. We ate a fresh fish that a guy had just caught and grilled. The fish was seasoned better than any fish I've ever eaten (and I'm from New Orleans….we love our seafood.) It was served with baked potatoes, rice, and a salad. We went to several beaches after this day hoping to have the same experience as we did on this beach and never did. It was amazing!! DON'T MISS THIS BEACH!!
