The Parque das Aves is an essential tour for visitors of Foz do Iguassu, located near the Cataratas do Iguassu, beside the Iguassu National Park. In the Parque das Aves you will experience a direct contact with more than 1320 birds from about 143 different species. Parque das Aves is a must see whether or not you're a birder
Other than seeing the falls, this is a must do if going to Iguazu. It's located steps away from the National Park and can easily be visited the same day. Plan to spend around 3 hours winding your way along a well laid out path. The birds were incredible! Great effort was taken to make the habitats very natural looking. Most birds there were rescued or faced extinction. There are also tortoises and even alligators. Like being hands-on? You can buy specially formulated bird food and feed the parakeets who whosh unafraid overhead. This nonprofit facility's mission is to nurture, reintroduce and protect birds and the Atlantic rainforest, and to educate visitors as to the plight of wildlife and the environment. Adults and children love this park. Don't miss it!
Hello, Susan, thank you so much for visiting and supporting Parque das Aves. It's with the help of people like you that we can carry out our work of rescuing, rehabilitating and sheltering birds that are victims of terrible situations and that need special human care for the rest of their lives. Unfortunately, more than 50% of the birds we house have been victims of traffic, accidents and mistreatment. All animals under our care live in aviaries specially designed to offer a great space for coexistence between individuals of the same species and others (as it would be in a natural environment), in addition to having adequate surroundings, such as logs, rocks and vegetation, where birds can stay if they don't want to be close to people. In addition, these animals have their welfare monitored on a weekly basis in order to optimize their condition. We work hard to offer our visitors the best immersive experience in the rich Atlantic Forest biome. We're glad that you liked it. We hope to see you here again soon. Greetings from Parque das Aves.

Bird rescue/sanctuary with close-up experience with a variety of birds and butterflies
The park is a bird rescue and helps save endangered birds as well as plants from the Atlantic rainforest. I enjoyed spending a morning strolling through the park learning about both the birds and the rainforest. Although some birds were in cages, many were in accessible aviaries where you could see them up close. The parakeets were very enthusiastic to be fed! Definitely worth a visit!

Worth Visiting if you See the Brazilian Side of Iguazu Falls
It is worth making the extra time to visit the Bird Park when you visit the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls. It is across the street from the entrance to the Falls. It is not huge, but still large enough to have an amazing variety of birds. The flamingos, toucans, and macaws were the superstars. An onsite cafe for refreshments is a nice amenity.
Hello, thank you so much for your visit and support at Bird's Park. A lot of birds
Because it is next to the famous Iguazu Falls, I walked directly after finishing the trip to the waterfall. Tickets in 80 local currency are not cheap. There is a tropical rainforest feeling in the park. All kinds of birds can be photographed, and flashes are not allowed. Halfway through the journey in the park, I was thirsty and drank a coconut for 13 local coins. What impressed me most was that I caught a group of owls eating mice and pecked them one by one, which was very interesting.

    Beautiful Park
My husband and I are from the states and loved this excursion. We had a tour guide with Kallpa Tours ( excellent tour company, by the way) so crossing into Brazil was easy in our tour van. Wonderful park focused on the preservation of species that are headed for extinction. It brought tears to my eyes a few times just thinking about it and plan to help in whatever small way that I am able. Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful!

    Beautiful conservation
Such an incredible experience being at one with the birds. Many opportunities to go into the larger herd enclosures and see them up close; at one point we thought were were outside but were in fact in a very large enclosure with some bold and pesky toucans! Allot about 2 hours here for a leisurely stroll through the park.

    This Park Deserves its Reputation
The Bird Park here is a must-do attraction. It fits in nicely in the other half of the day to the Brazil side of Iguazu Falls. The park is under a kilometre from the Falls Park entry. There is a good variety of birds and they are very colourful. You can feed some birds if you’re there at the right time. The entry price is reasonable ($US18). It is an easy one-way walk through the park. The open enclosures are the best where you can share the space with the birdlife. The restaurant there also serves very good food at decent prices. There are taxis outside to help you return to town afterwards.

One of the most amazing things I’ve seen
My mind was blown by the beauty of the park. They took such a good care of each animal, put so much work into preserving them and educating people on how they can help nature and on the essence of the Atlantic rainforest. I am really stunned by this experience.
Hello. Thank you very much for visiting and for your support of our work to conserve species and care for animals rescued from trafficking and mistreatment, unfortunately the case of more than 50% of those who live here. Know that your visit contributed to the maintenance and continuity of this important work in favor of the Atlantic Forest. We're glad you enjoyed it and had a good immersive and awareness-raising experience. Check back often. See you!

    Very nice bird sanctuary
Literally across the street from Iguacu National Park. If you're arriving by taxi you can have them drop you off at the National Park and then pick you up from the bird park. Big spacious habitats for most of the birds, some of which are walk-through (parrots and macaws are both very memorable). We spent a couple hours here in no particular hurry. There are two cafes as well, though we did not try either of them.

    Definitely worth a visit
What a fantastic place, we read some of the reviews online but weren't sure how great it would be, our hotel also recommended a visit so we thought why not and we are so glad we went. Its opposite the visitor centre for the falls so can easily be combined with your trip to the falls, we went first thing and spent a couple of hours leisurely walking around before heading to the falls for the rest of the day. We were really impressed with the spacious habitats for most of the birds and we liked that some of them you can walk through. Well worth a visit as part of your day at the falls.

This was the last thing on our agenda and am so glad that we did this. It was the best bird park that I have seen! Cost was equivalent to $30 USD for two adults. Didn't do any of the optional behind the scenes tours. It is near the entrance for the Brazilian side of the park on the other side of the street. There are more than 1320 birds from about 143 different species. Many of them are rescue birds. It is easy to follow the path that makes an entire circuit around the park. It took us about an hour but you could certainly spend more time here. Some birds are free-flying and others are in cages.

Even though we went in January, there were not a lot of people, could be because it had been raining earlier. I could see if it is crowded it might not be as nice. The birds were stunning and different then you see at the regular zoo in the US. I would recommend with kids for sure and even if not it is beautiful and the walk is not strenuous.

Park opened in 1994. Most of the birds are rescue animals, which can no longer survive in the wild. Although there are some other rainforest animals, the main attractions are the hundreds of macaws, parrots, flamingos and toucans. The birds are beautiful and you can get real close to them in the large aviaries. One toucan landed on a rail right in front of me, and was happy to pose for photos. Have some food outlets and a gift shop. Definitely worth a vist, especially for families.

This is the only park in the world with Brazilian Atlantic forest fauna, mainly birds. It was lovely to see all the macaws, hawks, toucans and flamingoes. However, keep in mind that the photos of people sitting with macaws are taken from those who have paid for the more expensive experience option.
A pleasant way to spend a few hours, particularly the butterfly house.

Different kinds of birds, several of which close to extinction. You can enter some aviaries, and get really close to toe birds. THe path has accessibility and is especially suited for children. My 1 year-old daughter just loved the tour! They have recently expanded the birds collection and have added more aviaries.

Since we were already at the Brazilian side of the Iguazu Falls, our taxi driver suggested we walk over to this park. As we had just spent a month hiking and birding through Panama, it was a bit sad to see some of these birds caged up. They are rescued so I guess for them, it is a good thing as they have a safe place to be.

We saw the Harpy Eagle in the wild, a majestic and fabulous eagle; the ones in the cage here looked so sad.... There were beautiful birds though and the McCaws looked happy and colorful

If you are at the Falls, a stop here is okay; not worth a separate trip.

A fabulous conservation project very close to iguazu falls. Allow half a day. Well worth the R$60 entry fee. You will take far too many photos particularly of the Macaws! An easy level trail takes you through a good variety of birds, reptiles and even butterflies. Impossible not to love and a must-do when visiting the iguazu falls. An easy R$20 uber ride or R$50 taxi ride from Foz do Iguazu

as a animal right supporter person i usually dont pay to see animals in zoo or birds park but i visited this place because i heard this center is a place to protect and study about birds, This park offers different species of birds and some are amazing.
i do not consider this place as a real must see if you are in a ruch or you want to choose between this or the falls. how ever it depends on your interest

We weren't expecting too much from this visit, and one of group is partially-sighted was worried she wouldn't see too much. How wrong we were ! Because you could enter many of the enclosures you could get surprisingly close to lots of the birds. My husband took amazing close-up photos of the toucans, and for a small extra fee we fed the parakeets which we all enjoyed. Our partially-sighted friend could see and feel the butterfly which landed on her hand and stayed there for a couple of minutes. Overall we really enjoyed our visit.
