This is one of the major arteries of Foz. I have trouble understanding why it should be listed in the "things to do" since it is not the best place to have a stroll - too busy!

Tourist hotels are located within walking distance, so once you've seen the falls and hiked, this is a good street to find food, entertainment and shopping. As stated by others, you can find American fast food as well as upscale local food. There are a...More

Lots of restaurants and bars..good if you have extra days in Foz..otherwise, skip it and spend more time at the falls, and parks..nothing really special to see or places to eat..

This is the main street if Foz du Igaucu in Brazil. Itr has Mc Donalds and Subway a very welcome sight when you can not speak Portuguese and do not know what food you are ordering. It also has a very nice church also.

Nice central avenue with lots of bars, nightlife some restaurants, a big supermarket which has a buffet restaurant perfect for the backpacker, quality and cheap food. It's also easy to get to as many buses pass it.

This town is built for the tourists. The Brazilians are going to Uruguay to shop and people from all over go to see the falls, so if you find yourself in this town with some spare time - most likely it's an evening and you're...More

My hotel was in Avenida Jorge Schimmelpfeng and I couldn't have picked a better location: it's full of trendy bars and restaurants, very lively and central in Foz do Iguaçu. You'll surely find somewhere fun to be here.

Airport Shuttle Service (5 Replies)
Does anyone have a recommendation on a reliable and affordable airport transfer service to take us from the airport to our hotel on Avenida Jorge Schimmelpfeng? Was looking into a few sites, but can't find reviews. Also, does anyone know the cost it would be to take a taxi from the airport to this area?

Ola Bre M It will run fro R$ 35.00 to 50.00 for a taxi. Dollar is around 2.25 to 1 real. Ave Jorge Schimmelpfeng is just outside the downtown area (stil considered "Centro") so closer by a mile or so from the airport. Enjoy and if have any other questions, just let me know. Marty
