The lake is huge, one of the biggest in the world. It provides 80% of the water used in Foz de Iguaçu and have places used by the community, like beaches.

If you have additional time in iguassu it is not bad to visit this plase.however only the water falls are attractive in Iguassu.

Big manmade lake..nothing special about the shoreline or view..there is a 2 hour boat ride where you can see the sunset and the evening sky..this is the best part..would only recommend the 7:00 p.m. ride so you can see the sunset..good for couples..

I did the panoramic tour of Itaipu and the bus crosses the top of the dam and stops at the top for photo ops. There is an option to take a boat onto the lake but no one took it.

This is a huge lake which borders the Itaipu Dam. The dam is visible from a boat on the lake which is a fun activity

the lake itaipy is nothing too special, obviously if you are visit the dam you might as well take some time and go see the lake too.
