Vila Velha City Tour

Visit the significant landmarks and highlights of Vila Velha during this 6-hour day trip from Curitiba. Following your local guide, walk through the unusual sandstone formations in Vila Velha State Park and learn about the natural history of the area. See Lagoa Dorada, or the Golden Lake, so-named for the way the sun glints off its waters. Visit the Furnas Dam, one of Brazil's larger hydroelectric dams. Entrance fees and round-trip transportation from Curitiba hotels is included.

My favorite building in Curitiba! It’s just a beautiful color from the outside. On Sundays it’s open to the public so you can go inside. The inside is nothing to write home about but go on Sundays anyway as there is a great market on the streets just outside with lots of interesting stalls.

The mosque is built by traders that visited Curitiba long time ago. I visited this place and awed at the decoration and interior design of this mosque. very close to the city center of Curitiba.

One of my favourite parts of the city by far. On sundays when they open for visits, the staff is incredibly nice and understanding. I felt very welcomed there.

If you're strolling through Largo da Ordem's open fair (on Sundays) it's worth a stop. A taste of culture and Curitiba's diverse cultural history. The building is beautifully covered in colorful tiles. If you're a lady and don't have a head cover, don't worry! There's a nice lady up front who offers covers, so you can visit inside the temple. Make sure you peek outside their garden, there's a beautiful flooring area.
