Municipal Market - Spacious & Clean

When visiting Curitiba once, or twice a year, we stop by the Municipal Market for a quick meal and to pick up some fruit, spices, and the hibiscus tea leaves (in large quantities), that come individually packaged or by weight, at a reasonable price.

It's a place to access fresh produce, cheese, fish, assorted nuts, wine and even organic items. The environment is clean, odourless and inviting.
It's centrally located in the Batel district.

Not so obvious place to visit but it's worth it

If you have time, you want to buy some good quality alcohol, fruits, veggies you should definitelly come. There is food court on second floor with tasty food for good price.

Amazing place in Curitiba.
This place is awesome, because you can buy all kinds of ingredients, from all over the world, Fresh fruits, fresh fish... And a variety of wine stores. If you have time, try a coffee too, the Municipal Market has ''cafes'' with the best Brazilian grains.

Great place to check out local fruits and produce. There are also restaurants and a place that sells all kinds of different cachaças.

Really recommend this place, awesome variety of local food, coffee, cachaça and fruits. Worth pay a visit and lots of tasting opportunities before buying. There is a food court on the second level with lots of food options!

A very nice food market

This is a nice place for you to find interesting and local fruits, cereals, cheese, charcuterie, beverages and so on to take home, or to eat there. It is not as big as the ones in São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro, but maybe because of it you can browse it easily and without getting tired. Free samples of what is being sold are always available, so it is a nice option for a tourist to know a bit more about Brazil through its food.

A great place to go on a Sunday morning
I love visiting the municipal food market on Sunday mornings. I like to stroll along the aisles looking at the fruit and vegetable stalls. I also like it because there are many stores inside the market that sell imported goods from Europe, Japan, etc. There are also stores specialized in beers from all over the world, as quite a few wine stores.
If you go at lunch time, there are a few Japanese restaurants which are very good.

A place to buy fruits and vegetables

Here in Curitiba the public market is more a place to buy fruits and vegetables. But it also has a food court. It is a nice place to visit, but there are cheaper places in the city to buy the fruits and vegetables.
