The Peshtigo is a rain fed river so, they water levels depend on how much rain we get. It only takes one food rain fall to boost it up, but typically in the late summer months it tends to be lower water. We do still run when it's low (and it's still fun) but, you'd be in a single man funyak (inflatable kayak type raft). It's still a guided trip but, the guides are in their own raft and your in your own raft (unless we get a good amount of rain before your trip then we can take larger Rafts). If you're looking for a guaranteed larger raft and a guide in the boat we do run the Menominee river as well. The Menominee is dam controlled so, it is high water all summer long! We definitely suggest doing this if you're set on a larger raft. We do take beginners on both rivers it's just up to what you prefer to do! Please let me know if I can help you with anything else!
