- Clenilson DOrlando, Florida257 contributionsThe beach of Cabo Branco is undoubtedly one of the most pleasant places to visit in João Pessoa. Like Tambaú, it is one of the most traditional beaches in the city, and has established itself as an ideal meeting point for hiking, sea bathing, and moments of relaxation in the bars and kiosks, which offer delicious snacks and regional food. The location is excellent, with good restaurants and hotels within walking distance, which makes it much easier for those seeking convenience and comfort. What most delighted me was the fact that Cabo Branco still retains a almost bucolic charm, with a beach atmosphere from the interior. The buildings are limited to a maximum of four floors, which preserves the view to the sea and avoids the oppressive feeling that is often found on urban beaches surrounded by skyscrapers. I highly recommend the visit! It is a perfect place to relax, enjoy the best of local cuisine and feel the tranquility of João Pessoa. Worth every second!Visited January 2025Traveled as a coupleWritten January 14, 2025
- Rafaelle NRio de Janeiro, RJ306 contributionsThe beach and shore of Cabo Branco is a delight! There is plenty of kiosk option on the shore to eat or drink something. I even paid a portion of 1kg shrimp in garlic and oil R$ 40.00. The beach on the edge is a delight. Clear and warm water.Visited August 2024Traveled soloWritten August 31, 2024
- GUILHERME ROCHABelo Horizonte, MG26 contributionsBeautiful beach, with a large stretch of sand and pleasant waters. The beachfront has low buildings, so there is no shadow from the buildings on the beach. The beach has a lot of commerce, and it's not a commerce with absurd prices. It sells everything from umbrella rentals to tours and food.Visited April 2024Traveled with familyWritten April 21, 2024
- Wal RGovernador Valadares, MG22 contributionsPraia de Cabo Branco, as well as Tambaú, are in the urban area and offer bathing conditions, a rare thing in urban beaches of capital cities in the Northeast. But it lacks structure. Lack of showers and mainly bathroomsVisited November 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten December 6, 2024

The water is excellent but the environment is horrible..we stayed 12 days in João Pessoa and in 8 we went to the beach of Cabo Blanco ...every day high music , people come with those sound boxes and put to all volume, we even managed to talk because it was a song in one box, another in another box and there will ... I tried to get in touch with Semam for 2 times, until today I am expecting to meet.... I will never go to João person.... besides exorbitant values in the kiosks for lunch / dinner....

Urban beach between Tambaú and Seixas, with the most beautiful waters in the city. Irregular waves do not allow surfing. Good stretch of sand where you can practice football, volleyball, futvolleyball, beach tennis, yesterday there was a judo event, and these days there is a stage of the beach volleyball circuit. Occasionally they set up a stage for shows. The waterfront is busier on FDS and holidays (even increased policing). Several beach huts with good food/drink prices. They rent umbrellas/beach chairs costing between 30 and 40 reais throughout the day (not linked to consumption - lots of street vendors on busy days). Several hotels and restaurants are mixed in with the residential buildings. Several projects under construction. From 5 am to 8 am, local traffic only. Cycle path along the entire length of the beach.

White sand beach, with spectacular views.
Chair rental for R$60.00 is a bit steep, but for the whole day it's worth it. There is a partnership between those responsible for the chairs and the kiosks, if you ask for something, the price of the chairs is R$30.00.
Large kiosks with good food options. The best coconut ice cream in João Pessoa was in Cabo Branco.
Crowded beach after 11:00am

Cabo Branco Beach is possibly the best beach in the city, mostly because of the infrastructure in the area: there are many hotels, beach bars, restaurants of all types (from pizza joints to fine dining establishments); you can rent bicycles to ride on the dedicated bike path that runs all along the coast of Joao Pessoa to Cabedelo. If you are a sun worshipper, you can rent a beach chair and an umbrella and sit on the golden sand, looking at the beautiful turquoise water that’s always warm.
Cabo Branco Beach is flanked by 2 other beaches: Tambaú Beach and Seixas Beach which is where the easternmost point of the Americas is located. There are a lot of reasons to visit this beach and I highly recommend you come.

Excellent urban beach with calm sea, warm water and good structure of tents at fair prices. The beach is quite long and quieter than Tambaú. One inconvenience is the people who arrive with gigantic speakers and force everyone to listen to their music. This should be banned on beaches.

Very urban beach with few waves and many kiosk options. I really liked the choice of places to eat. The kiosks on the shore offer parasols by the sea. Particularly, it's not the type of beach I like because there's a lot of movement of people, including with speakers.

The beach has a very good length, with a very pleasant shoreline for walking, full of kiosks with restaurants or bars, cycle path, hotels, inns, shops, in short, very complete, and is just after Tambau.
It's a nice place to stay as it has everything accessible, just like Tambaú and Manaira.
It even has a luxurious hotel, with more refined restaurants facing the sea.

A very clean, beautiful and peaceful beach with a steady sea breeze, warm waters and few waves due to the coastal coral reefs. Each day, workers in green uniforms sweep and rake fallen leaves and debris, keeping the area impressively clean (unlike the neighborhood just a few blocks inland).
The beach area features numerous food kiosks (our favorites: Ethic for crepes and smoothies, Lula’s for grilled fish), a two lane bike path and a very wide, palm tree lined sidewalk. The place comes alive after dark (sunset around 5:20) and is bustling with activity until at least 11pm: people of all ages eating, playing dominoes, roller blading, skateboarding, biking and walking, many with a small dog.
The other side of the street is lined with 4 story hotels and restaurants.
In the morning, there is no natural shade on the beach and the temps are typically in the 80’s and humidity is rather high. After 2pm, the sun is on the other side of the palm trees so casts a shade on the sand but several hundred yards from the water, so unless you want full sun and heat, you need an umbrella and chairs.
Unfortunately, our hotel, the Oriental Praia, adjacent to Hotel Ibis, was at the far end of the beach, a 15 minutes brisk walk from the food kiosks and rental umbrellas and chairs, and had no chairs or umbrellas.

Why go to the French Riviera and spend tons of money when Joao Pessoa has better beaches and a support stucture of hotels, restaurants, and attractions at a fraction of the cost.

Vale a pena conferir!

MA-RA-VI-LHO-SO!
