"Why?" you may ask--because it's the easternmost point of continental South America (and therefore the easternmost point of the Americas. "Continental" because South America has islands that sit more easterly than the continent, including Fernando de Noronha, which is really worth a visit too).
The location is not too far from the tourist section of Paraiba's capital of Joao Pessoa (the Cabo Branco neighborhood), and there are many beaches nearby as well as beachside bars and restaurants that make it more than worthwhile.

If you manage to get up in the morning you should definitely go here early in the morning to watch the sunrise(0515....). Spectacular to watch how quickly the sun rises at the most easterly point in the Americas. Beautiful.

Having been to the Northern & Western most points on the American Hemisphere, I now need to take a trip to Chile to complete this list. Other than that, we saw a photographer taking pictures of a model. Its only 5 minutes from the rain Forrest, so worth going to say you've been.

Only because you have to tell your grandchildren you visited the easternmost point of the Americas, then you should go there.Otherwise skip it and live happily. Or unless you are driving that road and have 5 minutes to burn. Yes, you can take couple of very nice pictures.

The view is magnifiscent, but there is nothing more to do there. Besides the real eastern point is the beach that can be viewed at the right.

This place has monuments of the easternmost point of Americas and some shops. It has a shop with ice creams of tipical fruits and flavors of Northeast of Brazil as mangaba, caja, toasted coconut and cream plus guava. Visit shop of jewels of bones too. It is nice.

You park your car, walk 10 minutes and you see a regular, normal lighthouse. Nothing to do, just popcorn and icecream. Dont waste your time going there if you dont have much time.

Furthest most eastern point in Latin America. “Where the sun rises”. Worth for the historical mark.
Park was being restored.

The real easternmost point is located a bit further than the lighthouse itself. Is actually the Seixas beach...

The areas around the lighthouse are suffering enormous erosion...
