This is a great find; it’s much more than an information centre. Welcoming staff. Plenty of displays. Large viewing area upstairs. The visitor centre is definitely worth a stop while travelling in the area

Great experience at this incredible visitor center. Great information and a lovely nature walk in the marsh area. We enjoyed the films to learn about this area.

This is definitely a must see attraction when visiting the Ashland area. You will need to set aside at least two hours to see everything this place has to offer.

This is a free museum but don't be misled....You will want to make a donation after you spend time here. Leave plenty of time to be educated on so many phases of Great Lakes history, flora & fauna, shipwrecks, etc. The displays are so well...More

You need to give yourself close to 2 hours to adequately see the displays here. Well done Historical description and present state of the Majestic Lake Superior and surrounding area. So glad we stopped!

We enjoyed touring thru the displays of information. I especially enjoyed the quilts on 2nd floor. The top floor view was something else! Take the stairs for Cardio, or there is an elevator. A small gift shop is on site, the bathroom was clean. The...More

Thank you for your review! The gallery space on the second floor is used for rotating exhibits every few months, so there is always something new to see when you stop by next.

I didn't see any facilities for dogs. I was surprised at how dog-unfriendly the entire UP was.
