You can go up the hill can walk if you want to exercise else hop in a taxi and could be there in 15 minutes.

To arrive there best way is by rail. Runaway from the taxis there because when you arrive at the base you have to wait to take special transport up to the estatue. A tip is to book the ticket for the rail by internet or you may arrive there and there is no ticket for the following hours. There you have the most beautiful view about Rio, including The Sugar Loaf Mountain.

Is easy to get the cristo from the corcovado station (I recommend you to use uber for getting the station as is not close to any metro station), it will take you around 20 minutes to get the cristo redentor, you can up either by elevator or stairs (no more than 10 minutes ). There youcan stay as much time as you want!

It is a very good view from this place but please use the road from the middle of Pocos de Caldas and not from the left side (from Cascata das Antas) near Shopping center because it is unpaved and difficult to drive without an SUV
I'm happy to be back without a problem

I went to this place to see the view, even the road is worthy.
There’s on the way a natural fountain you can stop and drink a water free and very nice tast.

Before Christmas we landed to our first stop in Brazil, Rio, and this place was on top of our list. And the others are right, the view all over the city is just spectacular. Especially with the statue this gives a special touch. We came here by taxi and van, was very easy to get up.

Cristo Redentor - Christ the Redeemer - is a spectatcular thing to see and place to visit. Not only for the statue but also its location and wonderful view!

The Cristo Redentor in Rio de Janeiro is one of the most visited attraction in the city.
You can come by trem or by taxi till a certain point an then take a Van to the top of the Hill.
You can have an amazing view from Rio from the Cristo.
The statue was a gift from France to Brazil and is very Beautiful.
Prices from the bars on the top are a bit expensive.
If you are in Rio de Janeiro you Must see it.

There is one of the highest place in Pocos de Caldas, you can see the entire city and get great photos, but nothing more special, I missed some place to have a drink and admire the landscape.

If your are as a visitor in Poços de Caldas, is because you want to relax and have some rest. The Cristo Redentor is a nice place to visit, with a very nice view of the city and the surroundings.

Avaliação de crpit sobre a Trilha do Cristo Redentor de Poços de Caldas
"Uma boa trilha para fazer com criança. A subida leva uns 40 minutos e o nível de dificuldade é baixo. Aconselhável levar água e um bastão para ajudar na subida."
Entendo que essa avaliação tem um certo exagero. NÃO é recomendável para crianças, pois o nível de dificuldade é alto. Poucos trechos são fáceis ou médios. Há trechos ingremes, que precisam ser escalados. Quanto a 40 minutos de duração, somente se a pessoa tiver bom ou excelente condicionamento.

bom dia Leandro... o teleférico funciona no máximo até 17 hs dependendo do dia da semana e abre entre 8hs e 9 hs. Porém se você deseja subir até o Cristo à noite, há o acesso via carro. Vista Linda de dia e de noite pode ser que também seja lindo.
Outro fato importante é que houve um acidente há cerca de uma semana atrás, portanto procure se informar sobre o funcionamento.

O teleférico está em manutenção e não está funcionando há cerca de 6 meses. Dá pra ir de carro até o Cristo.

O teleférico funciona sim e é possível comprar passagem só de ida ou ida e volta, o que compensa mais. Lá aceita carteirinha de estudante, então se tiver, leve. Crianças até 12 anos e idosos também pagam meia entrada. Não tem tempo de permanência máxima, e a vista lá é linda. Dá para fazer um pic nic. Tem umas lojinhas lá em cima, mas a variedade é pouca, então melhor levar um lanche caso resolva ficar bastante tempo.

Eu observei que existem muitas trilhas para caminhada, mas não vi nada para fazer a cavalo na subida, apenas se faz uma parada na Pedra Balão (conjunto de grandes pedras), que fica pelo caminho.

A maior parte das atrações ficam próxima são centro da cidade, se vc ficar hospedado no centro poderá ir a pé mesmo.

Para acessar o Cristo, em si, não se paga nada. A questão é como chegar até lá. Para ir de bondinho (que é do tipo cabine fechada) é R$ 25,00 (inteira) ou R$ 12,00 (meia). Vc pode ir de carro sem pagar nada ou até a pé por uma trilha na mata, mas é uma baita subida. Tem que estar bem preparado fisicamente.
