Recanto Japones is a beautiful Japanese garden with flowers, trees, monkeys, snakes, raccoons, fish, rock exhibitions, waterfalls, and more. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the beauty created by nature and humans, working together. At present, the park does not show at its best, as buildings have been destroyed by a fire, and it seems to be lacking in maintenance. Given the buildings needed to be rebuilt and need of maintenance, I’ll rate it as “Average,” for a tourist interest prospective.

One of my favorite places in Poços, it's a great place to relax and take a lot of pictures. You can rent Japanese clothes to take pictures for R$ 5,00 (been there in July 2015). There's not much else to do, but it's a very very pleasant place to pay a quick visit nonetheless.

It is a beautiful garden, with many trees, a Japanese house replica, lake with ornamental fishes. Great place for pictures and to relax.

Me and my wife loved the Japanese culture and its corners in gardens. The variety of plants typical of Mines of South Atlantic Forest transitioning to the sawed is unique. The park is well cleaned. In the entrance there is a girl who rents Japanese costumes for women at low cost. The staff are attentive and you can book if you love nature and take pictures at least an hour there. It has a small shoping shopping for props of Japanese culture. What made us worried is that the City has not invested in the preservation, painting, conservation of objects donated by the Japanese community in the region and that since the 80's makes donations. The gardening and cleaning the lake are good but lacks maintenance of wood and painting structures. Still worth you know especially on a sunny day.

This Park is very lovely! Smaller than anticipated and more special than imagined. It is the perfect place
to rest your mind and listen to the birds and enjoy the fresh air and quiet.

Beautiful park but we took a car. Nice quiet place in the middle of forest close to the the living area. Be careful with monkeys.

I went there every day, walking from my hotel, it´s not so far. Try the Japanese tea at the shop and them spend a great hour in the garden, just relaxing.

O recanto japones fica aberto o ano todo.
