We were here for an happy hour. This building was refitted to house events and cultural performances. And at the gardens outside peolple can get together in a intimate kind of gastronomic products fair. The building itself holds a well equiped coffee shop.

while the one small display was a nice show case of modern latin american paintings and sculpture, that was the only exhibit. Worth going inside while you are at praca da liberdade, it's free, but nothing really notable. the cafe at the base is very cute, although expensive for bh.

It's a very small museum, can be toured in about an hour. It's very nice and free. Tip: the cafe in the lobby is excellent, good food and great atmosphere. My new favorite place when I want to read a book and have a slice of cake

Exibitions change often, check its website before going. But the place is well organized, it could be a bit cleaner though.

Referred to by the locals as the "Red Building". This is a bright, modern, airy new meseum however nto much to see. Lovely coffee shop and a nice central meeting place.

It is real close to the Praca da Liberdade, like a city block away. They have different art shows out there. But it looks like they select it well, if you are close by it is worth the stop.......... Restrooms and food vendors close by.

If you're lookin for a nice exhibition to attend while in BH, go to Casa Fiat de Cultura. They opened their first installation in a neighbourhood called Belvedere but it seems now that only their second installation (near Praça da Liberade) is working and open to the public. They hold small but good exhibitions here. It's privately owned, well organized... More

WOW, what an exhibit of Holy Art in Wood, Silver, and Gold. The exhibit is divided in two sections, Brazilian and Italian. The Italian Art on loan from Museums in Naples, Italy is numerous and amazing. It is practically impossible to describe any of the pieces shown here. I do not have the artistic knowledge or adequate words to do... More

One need to follow the yearly schedule of foreign painters masterpices. The last one I went, Caravaggio, was superb. Even if the visitor has to stay for almos one hour in a line.
