Nice theater and cafè

This modern building is a place for people to watch nice shows and enjoy a very pleasant cafè in the basement.

The space is a bit aged, could do with a facelift. Nonetheless good space for cultural events. The bar was not working, concessionaire contact ended and was not replaced.

This is the major theatre of the city where you can see a symphony orchestra, ballet, opera, famous musician - the International Level cultural events come to Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Belo Horizonte. When in Belo Horizonte there are in the Palacio das Artes. It also has an art gallery, an art cinema, and excellent souvenir shop with... More

I went to watch a movie in the cinema of Palacio das Artes, and I sat on a wet chair, with a weird smell. At the end of the screening I asked the doorkeeper and he told me there were a beggar sleeping and making his necessities inside the movies room!!! And according to the policy of Minas Gerais government,... More

Another must see place while you're in Belo Horizonte. Most of the best musical shows and art exhibitions are shown at this cultural complex right downtown core. You can find many arts, crafts and souvenirs at its attached Centre of Arts & Crafts from Minas Gerais State (Centro de Artesanato Mineiro)/

This is one place to go if one is interested in watching plays or exhibitions which happen quite frequently. Its important to find the schedules in advance or maybe buy tickets in advance to make sure you can catch the show.

As I had already seen the most popular sites of Belo Horizonte I decided to visit the Palácio das Artes. The building is very interesting. But there was only a limited number of exbitions. The souvenir shop was very nice.

A place to change the way you see the world and yourself. All types of art in one place. Great location (easy to get to on foot, bus or taxi). Many free exhibitions. Nice music by the state's philharmonic orchestra and many others. Nice dance exhibitions and plays. There is a small shop with many handmade products of Minas, but... More

A must see for various attractions. Ever changing Art exhibits and works and they also have a reasonably priced gift shop that is good for something to grab for a local in that it isn't seen as a regular shopping center or souvenirs for home.

Notwithstanding which show is being presented worth the pleasure to to be on this theater. When in town check the shows scheduled for the week, including the weekend. Just a tour through the theater is free. Check the tour hours before going.
