The new stadium is fantastic. Perfect viewpoints from any seat. Good structure and very well kept.
But to get inside is so troublesome. It can literally take you 45 mins to get to your seat.
And if you park your car in the stadium parking lot, give it an hour or so to get out. This should be taken care of

I had the opportunity to watch some matches there and run inside the stadium. It is really an amazing experience. I need to go back to visit the museum.

The renovated stadium is part of a beautiful architectural site and is in excellent conditions. It is the home stadium of the Brazilian Soccer Champion team - Cruzeiro.

The giant of the pampulha, this is how the fanatical fans call the beautiful stadium of the Mineirão. After its renovation it became a modern and comfortable arena for its visitors. It owns a museum and makes guided tours. A great request for those who love football.

Besides watching soccer games there is a very rich museum to visit inside this stadium. It shows us the history of soccer and there is interesting information about famous Brazilian players as PELÉ. The whole visit takes you more than one hour but it is worth it.

If you are coming from abroad, you must go to a football match at this huge and great stadium. Make sure to eat their main dish: "Tropeiro".

Visit on a regular day to check on the museum and calmly visit the stadium, but return on a game day to see the crowd pushing our home team, Cruzeiro toward another great title! :D
And have a beer while watching the game, but eat the "Feijão Tropeiro" meal or a "Churrasquinho" (small barbecue stick) outside the stadium, in one of the bars surrounding the area. Great experience!!

The locals love their futbol/football/soccer - and they are very proud of this stadium that was renovated for the World Cup in 2014. We were lucky to have a private tour of the facility by the engineer who supervised the upgrades. Every nook and cranny is spectacular. The stadium is an historic site so great care in the upgrades were required to maintain the basic original design. All the facilities are top-notch from the locker rooms, the food service areas and the stands. Was very impressive to see it vacant - would love to experience a game here!
