The best viewpoints of Belo Horizonte and the fresh air from the surrounding hills make Parque das Mangabeiras one of the best places in town to rest and sense nature. There are plenty of space and it is generally calm and safe. If you want to escape the noisy, busy, polluted city centre, this is the place.

Since when I was a kid I visit Parque das Mangabeiras and for me it is one of the best places to be in Belo Horizonte. Located in one of the most fancy neighborhoods of Belo Horizonte the park is found right below Serra do Curral´s mountain. The place is full of fauna and flora from the region and the... More

It is a park located on a mountain, worth to visit and nice place to make a picnic or to stroll, or as romantic program. The best spot is the "mirante", from where you can see the city. No guides will speak in any foreign languages. The streets are paved with rough stones, so it is required tennis shoes. Avoid... More

My husband and I decided to visit the Parque on my birthday to spend the day alone and away from the rest of the family! LOL Because we went in May, it was classified as the low season so very few people there during the week, restaurant was closed and no food or drink available anywhere. Bring hiking shoes, drinks... The Parque das Mangabeiras is a park to visit with family and friend. There is a big green area and places to practice sports.

the cute raccoon-like quatis add something unique to an already beautiful park. while it does get busy with picknickers on weekends, mangabeiras is still a must-see in bh with it's otherwise limited number of attractions.

The best view in the city. A place one can go with friends, or family, also alone to enjoy the beautiful view of the city. It gives a break from the hustle bustle of the city life.

A beautiful urban park. A good place to visit if you are in the mood for a little walking. You can easily spend a morning walking through the trails. They should have better signage so be sure to pick up a free map before going to the trails. With some luck you can see some saguis and micos.

It is a amazing place to know, you can see the big landscape of the city, nature, animals, you can offer food and touch some animals. Easy to go, relax and calm.

We got to the park in the morning and it was deserted. Nice for peace but it made the place seem a little worn out. More people arrived around 3pm. We didn't find the waterfalls that you see in the pics - prob because we were ill prepared, but the map you get at the park doesn't point it out... More
