This is one of the must dos when in Bonito, MS. It’s a easy 10 min walk until the top of the gigantic cave and then 300 steps down into this beautiful and well preserved cave with stalagmites and stalactites’ from thousands of years and at the finish this incredibly beautiful blue lake. Worth the visit.

but for the majority of our group it was fantastic and people use to go dancing at night to relax a bit.

Beautiful to go and see and take pictures but transport to get there is expensive. Luckily it was sunny otherwise may not be so impressive.

Nice, not to long and great view of the lake. Early morning visit would allow you to see the sunshine reaching the lake... amazing!

Had a great time but it is definitely better if you go in the morning when the sun hits the blue! Staff are really friendly but speak very quickly! Make sure you are fit enough to climb the stairs on the way back up! (about 300 stairs) And its hot and humid so bring cold icy water :)

A really beatifull place, with a amazing color of water, but unfortunatelly isn´t possible dive or swin there. For people with mobility dificulties, can be hard up the stairs.

Really nice tour! We got a nice view of the cave and the hike was just long enough without being tiring. Definitely recommend!

The postal card of Bonito looks impressive in photos but to see it the way it should it is necessary good sunlight entering the cave. If the day is cloudy it is still a nice tour anyway. It is quite a short visit so it might be a good idea to do the nearby caves as well.

A very nice lake in an underground cave. Unfortunatly you have to get up very early to get the nice blue shine. Guides are very friendly but don't speak English. Lukily there were some tourists translating and there are big information screens in English.

If you've been in other caves like this (eg castellana in Italy, postumia in Slovenia, Lourdes in France, etc), you will find the Gruta Azul just right. The visit is nicely organized and our guide was very competent but the grotto itself is quite small. Worth a visit to see something different than pure nature.
