Forget the buggy

Take the quadrunners it's fun. the buggy is a bore and driver doesn't want to get squiggly. Quadrunners to tatajuba is a cool trip

We had fantastic tour with amazing landscapes and we did all the "scheduled" stops (sea horses, dunes, lake with lunch). If you like nature and if you are not expecting too much, do the sea horses. We enjoyed it. Lunch was grilled fish and shell fish and it was fresh and perfect. Bring sun protection, enough water, long arm shirt... More

The tour is mostly along windswept empty beaches, fine sand dunes and fresh water lakes nestled between the dunes . People are generally friendly. Nature has been beautifully preserved for the locals and the few tourists to enjoy. Because it is very windy during the months of August tp Decemet, you should cover up and apply lots of sunscreen to... More

Tatajuba is my favorite day trip in Ceara and has some of the most spectacular scenery in northeastern Brazil. Is often overlooked by visitors to Jericoacoara and a horrible mistake. Mostly because the buggy drivers would rather take you some place closer to Jeri and avoid the river crossing by raft. Dont miss Tatajuba !!

We took the buggy excursion to visit Tatajuba during our recent 7 night visit to Jericoacoara. A very lovely experience, Scenic and beautiful, we got to visit many great places during the ride. Highly recommended!

This trip was outstanding as we had a great guide (Luciano with the pink buggy) arranged by Jeri Viagens Off Road (Jeriviagens.com.br) We careened across the beaches, did an unusual ferry crossing with the buggies, visited a seahorse breeding farm (not exciting, but educating), flew across the dunes, including 90 degree drops straight down 30 meters (yes I screamed, but... Ok, so maybe I'm partial to sand dunes, and to kilometers and kilometers of deserted coastline, but I thought the trip was great! It's nice that you only share the buggy with up to 4 people. You first stop at a seahorse conservatory, which I thought was overrated, and I wished I had stayed in the buggy during this part.... More

Definitly recomend it! Many people just take the other rute to visit Jeri but the Tatajuba passeio is very beautyful. With it´s uniques dunes and views you can´t miss this if you visit Jeri.

A nice trip. But just nice. If you are that kind of traveller that MUST visit every place, this one is not a bad trip. But it surely is worse than just staying at Jericoacoara and spending a whole day at the beach. Tatajuba's beach is beautiful (but not as much as Jericoacoara's), and the ride around the dunes is... Let your bugeiro be your guide for the trip to Tatajuba. You will see cavalho marinho (real live sea horses), cross the estuary on a "balsa", drive through drowned mangroves, sand board down an enormous dune, and enjoy the best seafood before taking your chances on the high tide dash back to Jericoacoara.
