A lively spot. Something of a tourist attraction to visit here. Tour guides turn up with their hordes and it’s a bit of a photo spot for young people. An interesting place and worth a visit but be prepared for the enormous number of flies that congregate around the cachaca. Good cold Devassa beer too.

This is a unique place in Pelourinho, right on the plaza(Terreiro de Jesus #3)Here you can savor many kinds of infused cachaças, from wooden kegs lining the dark wood walls. The famous one is clove(cravinho), but my favorites are cinnamon(canela) and passion fruit(maracujá) and pineapple(abacaxi′). They will let you try free little samples. You can get cold beers also, and there is a second room where there are tables and food. You can also purchase little refillable crockery flasks of your favorite ones to take home. They pack them nicely, and make great souvenirs. So stop by and get a little buzz on before touring the rest of ‟Pelô".

O Cravinho is a smart-looking dark, wood lined bar that is teeming with drinkers and savvy nibblers from every walk of life. We happened upon their clove flavored cachaça, one of the hallmarks of the house and felt that we had found something and someplace truly original!

They have a great "moela" which is a delicious stew of chicken gizzards. We were in a group of 8, but 7 of us tried that for the first time and loved it. The service is great.

The Cravinho is definitely a must-go place in Salvador. Because A, it has the best clove in town and B, because it has the best clove in town. I mentioned it twice because it has the best clove in town. The variety also impresses. But it seems to be the hidden treasure of the place where no one seems to perceive. Funny enough, it has the best prawns in town too. It is a delightful experience to have their infamous prawns breaded in tapioca. I would also recommend the "chicken entrails". If you go there with friends then I'd say you should order a bottle of your favorite cravinho but make sure you ask them to prepare it just when you order it, otherwise they will bring you the pre-prepared one. No worries you'll know it's pre-prepared because they are chilled. The bottles they prepare when you order them are room temperature.

A favorite of mine. U can have doses of all the house's cachaça for a cheap price. The ginger (gengibre) one is my favorite. They also sell industrialized award winning bottles, but when shopping fpr onw make sure to get one that won a local award. Cachaça is not supposed to be overly dilated like vodka, which is what international awards go for

Not only for the cachaca and the home made cachaca-based liquor, but also for the great comfort food you can think of: try the Moelas, they are just great.

Obligatory stop in Pelourinho and Salvador. The characteristic drink of this place is a macerated cachaça with cloves, cinnamon and honey that can be purchased by the half liter for 20 reales or in a small glass to try for 5 reales. There is also a dining room to drink inside and eat or if you prefer to have something or eat some fried food at the bar or buy to go.

Very good drink but the service at the bar was top notch. I only bought it because I already knew it but the service got much worse!
