Cozy village; beach just ok
Apr 2021
Praia do Forte reminded me of Búzios, RJ. It has a great atmosphere with all the stores and restaurants in its old centro. Lots of nice condos in the region. I found the beach just ok; warm water but brownish.

Best tour in Salvador
Dec 2019
This tour is just so cool. Once you get there, you can visit a turtle sanctuary (very impressive). Once done, you can chose to park off on the beach or walk around the little village exploring all the little boutique shops and stalls, this is the main attraction as far as I'm concerned. On your way back you will stop off at Praia de Gaurajuba where you will enjoy a fantastic lunch - try the famous local Bahia dish Moqueca

A lovely beach and resort
Jan 2020
The beach is beautiful, and the whole resort area around it is fantastic, with the Tamar project that saves turtles, many restaurants and shops, you can easily spend a week there!

Trip by bus or car or sports boat

Nice place to relax on the beach. Stores selling clothes, crafts of all kinds and some restaurants with music at weekend nights. It´s also a place where they help the turtle population to be preserved. Small and cozy restaurants and inns everywhere.

Endless fun!
Jan 2019 • Family
The Praia do Forte is located in Salvador and to get there you have to take a car or bus. It is very agitated, beautiful and a great place to spend the day. You can visit the local village, which has different stores. You can also visit the “Projeto Tamar” and meet the varius sea turtles, go kayaking, buggy ride, visit old church and go several beaches.

When I visited this beach with my family, we visited the home of the natives. After this, we had lunch at a wonderful called restaurant “Pernambucana”, with a culinary well striking. We aslo a craft shop locally with priced accessible, It is a good place to buy memory.I also took the time to walk along the beach and take a shower in the sea.

I highly recommend the “Praia do Forte”, because it's a place to have fun, know a little of the history of the city and relax. It is ideal for taking children or going to with friends or family.

Great little town to visit
May 2019 • Couples
Away from the bustle of Salvadore. This little fishing village has a street of shops now catering for influx of tourist. It still retains an old world charm but has the modern and old mixed nicely together. You can feel very safe shopping and eating night or day. And only a 10minute walk by the beach to the Tivoli Ecoresort. Try the cafes on the beach for a cheap beer and breeze.

too many shops
Mar 2019 • Friends
Prices in the shops are above medium. Left side of the beach is a hidden place. Try it. Swimming is easy, no big waves.

Charming village
Apr 2019 • Family
Praia do Forte has a very charming village with restaurants, cafes and shops. There are many hotels and pousadas. Projeto Tamar is located here and is worth the visit, especially with children. The beach praia do forte itself is not great so we moved to Praia do Lord which is literally next to it is beautiful and can be accessed using the local biketaxi as cars are not allowed there. At praia do Lord there are no facilities or restaurants, only some basic chairs and umbrellas for renting and some locals selling nibbles and coconut water.

Simply Best and Deal
Jan 2019 • Couples
We first start our visit to this Praia do Forte. It's only our first time too to be here, and we loved this place so much, there was some shopping around. My wife and I were enjoyed here very much and don't really want to come back. Whether you want to rest or entertain friends here is simply gaze out over the views in quiet reflection.
