Amazing scenery. The guided tour was ok but not worth the $30. I do suggest to rent the boots. $4. There is a flight of stairs that goes to the falls. About 300 plus feet down. Going down, not bad. Going back up. Ughhhh. The restaurant near there is horrible. Stay away.

Well worth considering on a trip to South America

The Rio Negro is a major tributary of the Amazon, and merits a five day or more visit by cruise boat or at one of the famous eco lodges. Some visitors will be disappointed because the forest is not as large they may have been led to expect: the Rio Negro is an old river geographically and nutrient poor, thus the trees are smaller and wildlife less abundant than other parts of the Amazon River System.
