My wife, 3 kids and myself had always wanted to do a trip to the Amazon and while looking at the various packages available, Off Roads was the most economical, and I am really glad we took this 5 day tour, which included the Amazon River, Forest and Jungle. It was on our bucket list to complete and it was definitely worth it. The tour arranged for a pick up from our airbnb which was very punctual. Our tour guide Ney was amazing. He took a lot of effort to ensure everyone in his group was well taken care of and that we had a chance to interact with the other groups as well. The setting of the sun, gazing of stars, lookout for caiman and dolphins and sunrise were all very interesting. The river tour and the jungle were adventurous, especially the sleep overnight in the jungle was spooky as we had Ney tell us some very interesting stories and he kept waking to ensure we were ok at all times. The family loved the swim in the Amazon and the trekking tours which totally exhausted us by the end of the tour.

I joined a 4-day tour along the Urubu River in the northern Amazon, and it was a lifetime experience! Spending a night in the jungle was particularly magical.

Our guide, Ney, was really knowledgeable about the ecosystem and he was explaining it is during our hike. Despite not seeing many animals (we were just unlucky), Ney's efforts and expertise made each moment special. He was always checking in to make sure everything was going well.

The lounge is very well designed, the food was great with many different options. Additionally they have an adorable orphan baby monkey in the lounge, which touches your heart and adds a special charm to the experience.

The tour was flexible, adapting the itinerary to enhance our adventure. With small groups of 5-6 people, we enjoyed a more intimate and personalized experience. We completed all the activities without feeling rushed or crowded.

If you're considering an Amazon tour, I highly recommend this one.

Thank you, Ney, and the team for an amazing trip!

I went there with a friend in the end of april for three days. The tour was well planned and pretty much exactly how it is displayed on the website. We went piranha fishing, slept in the jungle, went hiking and saw several animals. Our tour guide was always giving us important information about the different animals, plants and the surrounding in general. The food we got was also really good, always some kind of carbs, fish, meat and some fresh fruits. The weather was around 28-32 degrees but it felt like 35 atleast so make sure your are mentally prepared for the heat (depending on the time of year you are going). All in all if you are thinking about going, i can only recommend since it is a experience you will never forget.

Our stay at the jungle was very disappointing. Safety concerns were evident with overpacking on boat trips. Surroundings were more farm than jungle, even though we traveled 3 hours away from Manaus. Food and sleep were decent, but overall, the experience felt like a waste of time and money, failing to deliver the wild Amazonian adventure we sought. We didn’t see any wild animals and the guide did even make any efforts to show us something. Nate’s priority was to take our money and then he broke his promise that we will be 8 in a group. We were far more than that. If you don’t want to regret, don’t book this trip.

Hello, We are very sorry to see that you did not have a good time in our lodge. We must admit that the lodge was very crowded this time of year and at times there were too many people to maintain the character of our tours. We do want to say that normally it is not like this. Can you send us a message so we can refund your money to your account and we can also discuss things we can improve? We work very hard on this business and it pains us to receive this kind of review. We wish you the best. Kind Regards, PS: Also is this written from an anonymous account? because we cannot match the pictures on your other reviews with guests we had in our lodge.

I booked the 4-day wonder tour through Off Road Travel. Of these, 3 days are in the Amazon at Ney's Eco lodge. I thought it was well organised: the transfer from my hotel to the jungle and back went smoothly. When you arrive you participate in the activities that the rest of the group that is already there will be doing that day (new people arrive every day). This means you don't know in advance which activity you will do on day 1, for example, but that is not a problem for me. There were also people who were there for 4 days and they still went to locals. At that time I went kayaking and piranha fishing with others.

I found the atmosphere very relaxed. The lodge is very pleasant and there are hardly any mosquitoes. The guides we had with us only spoke Portuguese, which might be good to know.

The food was delicious and they are also flexible in terms of activities (if you want to do something longer or shorter, for example). The days flew by and I had a great time there. Highly recommended!

The last day was in Manaus itself: I was picked up at the hotel and taken to the port. There we went by boat to see Meeting of the Waters, a fish farm, indigenous village, have lunch, look at large leaves on the water and see how a dolphin is fed in the water. I liked it a lot.

Please note, there are 2 things different from the website/brochure: there is no transfer from the airport to the hotel and the Amazon Theater is also not visited. Not a problem for me, but good to know. It's a bit confusing.

It was easily one of the best experiences we had! We are making a long journey and this tour remains one of the highest points of the whole journey. It was amazing to be able to see from close a bit of what it is to live in the Amazon. We could see a family living there, we could explore the jungle and sleep isolated from the world in the middle of it. An experience from the other world!
Of course everything went this way because we had the best guide we could ask for! Scott has made our experience memorable and I think it will always live in our memory. His knowledge after a life in the Amazon is clear, throughout the tour we felt that we could trust Scott 100% that it would go well and so it was. A huge thank you to Scott for the amazing days he allowed us to live!

I did 5 days 4 nights and had a wonderful time.
The transportation to and from the hotel went smoothly. The food was incredible, both at the lodge and in the jungle. There was always plenty and it tasted amazing.
I had Scott as my tour guide and he was very knowledgeable and friendly, and made an effort to explain different types of plants and trees to us.

A couple things to note:
- They send you brochures to choose the type of tour from, and I expected to follow that plan as it's laid out day by day, however the plan on the brochure was not followed at all. We did however do everything that was listed, so it wasn't the biggest problem.
- I had also asked the max number of people they take in a group, and was told 6, however on my final night in the rainforest we ended up being 10 that were sleeping in the jungle. It definitely changed the experience from my first night in the jungle where we were only 5 (it was a lot more pleasant).

Overall an amazing trip, and will definitely be back if I am in Brazil again.

Take your son for 2 days and 2 nights hiking and camping on this side of the Ulub River and have fun. The guide was nice and took us attentively to find spider birds and monkeys, cooked delicious meals, helped build hammocks and mosquito nets, and fished in the scenic river, all memorable memories. The campsite does not have a toilet or bathing space and may be a little inconvenient for girls interested in Trips.

By far the best part of my whole trip in Brazil. I went with my wife to the Survival Tour, which is pretty tough if you have no experience, and the jungle is hostile, but our Guide Georgy is a true expert and lover of the jungle, he taught us about different kinds of plants, how to navigate the jungle, how to catch piranhas, how to make fire, and more. He is very Pro, and very friendly. The lodge, where we stayed the days we were not in the jungle is very comfortable, and the food is excellent.

We went to visit Ney's Ecotourism Lodge with our family (two five year-olds). It was a great experience, Ney was incredibly patient and helpful especially with our kids. We loved the activities and the FOOD WAS SO GOOD! All of the lodge staff was very professional and so helpful.

I would say that the experience is very rustic, no air con, no fan, and only electricity a few hours a day. So prepare for this!
