Tropical Tree Climbing was like paradise. Leo, Vanessa and their family provided the most peaceful, relaxing yet exciting atmosphere. The house was in a beautiful setting and we ate the most delicious, freshly made meals imaginable. We felt so privileged to stay with them and intend to go back as soon as we can!

Everything about this experience was beyond what I could have imagined. I was looking for a non-touristy option to visiting the Amazon. I also wanted to mix in a little bit of outdoor activity with my stay, and thankfully I found Tropical Tree Climbing. Never in my wildest dreams could I imagine what laid ahead of me. And it was... This day was not at all what I expected. I figured we'd be driven out to the forest, climb a tree, then be driven back to Manaus. That's not how the day went at all! We were picked up in Manaus at 7am & driven the 2 hours out to Leo & Vanessa's property. We arrived & were served a... More

We did the 3 night/4 day trip and every minute of it was perfect. We felt the weight of the stress that tends to accumulate during day-to-day life fall from our shoulders as soon as we arrived. Every day held something beautiful and insightful to look at and learn, yet there was plenty of time to relax and soak up... More

A couple of hours drive from Manaus is a wonderful home set amongst the tree canopies of the Amazon. Vanessa, Leo and their family were excellent hosts. They really made the experience feel special. It was a delight to be welcomed into their home. The tree climbing was hard work but a great way of seeing the rainforest and experiencing... More

My mum and I recently spent 3 nights at Vanessa and Leo's lodge with their lovely family and it was a truly fantastic experience! We arrived very tired and left refreshed and reinvigorated having seen some beautiful areas of the rainforest and tasted plenty of delicious fresh food from the garden. Whether you want adventure, ecological education or relaxation, I'm... More

Four days with Vanessa and Leo’s family was an adventure, physically as well as spiritually. We came closer to nature and people, learned about the history of Amazonas, animals’ strange way of life, and how to create new soil in a tropical garden. We had hours in the hammock with a good book, long meals with conversations over locally harvested... More

Thank you Vanessa and Leo and children for a fantastic Jungle immersion experience. We enjoyed every minute of it: Your lovely guesthouse, fantastic food and gentle company, the exciting tree climbing, the jungle walks, bird- and animal watching with knowledgeable guides - everything. Couldn't be better! Highly recommended, both as a holiday experience and as tropical forest awarenessraising experience.

Five stars are not enough! Tropical Tree Climbing is professional and well-organized. We were picked up on time at the hotel and warmly welcomed by Leo, Vanessa and their adorable family. The tree climbing requires a bit of physical endurance and courage, but the result (being perched in the Amazonian canopy, listening to the wind and birds in the trees)... More

I've been to some incredible places, but this has been the best so far! This isn't a tourist spot, it's a home stay. This is the most welcoming family you will ever meet. The vibe is completely relaxed, and they encourage you to make the most of your time in the jungle by slowing down and taking it all in.... More
