We are highily recommended by the best travel book and through the best travel foruns what most count to receive excellent reviews is our experience working for many years in tourism and that we take you deep in the jungle where only the local people and our jungle lodge base are there no other lodge is near to us, we have the best recommendation through the best traveller books and through the best traveler foruns. Sustainable tourism is our priority, we are the only Tourism agency who has done several social services around our Amazonian region for several times. Amazon Gero Tours advises you: Please, do not trust unauthorized people at the airport using good companies names to offer you tourism information, taxi or jungle tours, do pay attention when they approach you in front of the hostels even if they say they work for the hotel. Some Hostels and Hotels staffs use to offer you Jungle tours, jungle lodges or boat tours that they have never seen, just because a fat commission.

Our stay was fantastic - excellent communication before the booking with Gero explaining the trip in detail. He also organised an airport pickup for us at 2am and a hotel for that night. The rainforest tour was great- we stayed in a private room. Just watch out for frogs coming in through the toilet (keep the toilet seat down when... More

Gero is an attentive and dedicated professional, and has been established a long time in Manaus, assisting tourists with advantageous experiences, and also providing help and contacts. Strongly recommend.

I took took tours from Amazon Gero Tours, one, an all day trip around Manaus and environs and the second and overnight tour to the Ararinha Jungle Hotel (reviewed separately). This review covers the day trip and the overall service from Gero Tours. First off the overall service, staff, and price of Gero Tours was excellent. Gero and his staff... More

Visiting the amazon is a once in a life time experience, so it's important to do it right. For me, this tour ticked all the boxes. The whole time i felt looked after. From the friendly staff at the agency to our amazing guide Antonio. His knowledge of the jungle was impressive and he was great laugh too! We opted... More

Even though we had read the great reviews online and in Lonely Planet, it was still with some concern that we handed over the cash for our 5 day tour of the Amazon. You hear a lot about holiday scams and it is easy to become cynical. However, we had a fantastic trip and our private accommodation was very comfortable.... More

Janet, our guide, was the quintessence of calm and professionalism but watch out when she starts to repeat 'nein'!. She saw us through 'a dark and stormy night' and got us home safely. Thanks Janet, you're stellar. The lodge is good but not exactly embraced by the forest, the food is OK, the electricity is random, there is no wifi... More

My family and friends gifted me a roundtrip ticket to Manaus for my 50th birthday and after a lot of research, I picked Gero Tours to spend a week in the Amazon rainforest. This was the most memorable nature experience I have ever had - am a wildlife and nature buff and had dreamed of spending time in the Amazon... More

We went to the Amazon through Gero Tours in October. We arrived at 2 AM to the airport and they were there to pick us up and take us to our hostel that we stayed at. They then came back the next morning to pick us up and start our Jungle Tour. We stayed in a big open lodge with... More

I spent 5 nights in Geros Lodge and i think it was the best part of my two month trip through brazil. Maybe you'll need one or two days to get used to the way of how things are going on in the jungle, but when you are acclimatised, you gonna have a great time. So i can definitly reccomend... More

Hello Chris and others,

I have read a lot about Gero Tours on Trip Advisor..Sounds wonderful......sched to go w/ my wife on a trip in late October. Will stay at the camp in a private room and go trecking as well.

Then 3 days in Miami....( Also connecting in Miami from N.J. on way down).

We will have suitcases for Miami......but not sure about some Gero logistics....so I was wondering if anyone could help us....

Does Gero have a place they can stash our suitcase or should we leave it in storage somewhere like our hotel in Manaus or in Miami airport?

Should we bring a standard backpack ( I have an external frame pack I've used for years ) .....and use this to take to the camp area?

What type of packing or luggage did you bring to the Gero's camp?

Did you need a full backpack on the Trecking part of the trip? Or can you manage with a small day pack for what you ended up needing to bring?

How and when did you pay Geraldo....did you bring local currency with you or did you exchange there.....or does Geraldo take US currency?

What type of clothing did you wear for trecking? We're a little concerned about mosquitos and mosquito borne disease...Dengue etc.......I know we are going at dry season but were people using shorts and short sleves or should be we wearing long pants and long sleves? Were mosquito's a problem?

What clothing did you sleep in while trecking?

Any info about any of this would be so helpful......Thanks.....glad everyone had such a good time....we hope to as well !
