Scorpio is an adventure agency based in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It organises adventures in the nature all over BiH: hiking, canyoning, ski touring, climbing. It is composed of qualified mountaineering instructors with years of experience on the mountains of BIH and beyond.Scorpio owns its unique multi-activity centre in the nature in Smetovi near Zenica. At Scorpio Center you can enjoy rock climbing, zip line (tyro lean), tree adventure, mountain bike and hiking in the nature, exploring our nature trail. A whole set of activities awaits you, your family, your friends. It is the ideal place for retreats and team building exercises.

From Sarajevo we took a canyoning trip to the Rakitnica canyon. The canyon was very beautiful and the surrounding area is very nice - a long drive from Sarajevo.
The canyoning itself was great, rather different from anything I've ever done before. Basically you travel down the canyon laying on your stomach on a little rubber dingy, using your arms to swim, you have a child's rubber ring for back support in the dingy and during the parts where you can't travel by dingy you climb along the rocks. We traveled down the canyon like this for six hours. A long time but a great experience and totally worth it. It was one of my favorite activities during our 3.5 weeks in the Balkans. After you get out of the water there is a 1 hour walk back to the car through some very beautiful scenery and past a remote village. It happened to fall upon the sunset as we walked back, which was amazing.
The 2 guides were also really nice and helpful, making the experience even better.
It truly is a full day and there is no time for lunch in the canyon so take small snacks. We left at around 7am from our hotel and returned back to Sarajevo at 11pm. But really worth it!

This place is amazing. I personally know the owner, an enthusiast who lives in the nature and for the nature. He made it all by himself, creating a perfect place for all nature lovers, treehuggers, and anyone who wants to feel the real spirit of nature. There is a lot of mistery hiking trails, mountain bike paths, an artificial rock for alpinism, and camping site.

Great trip!! We had a two-days hike with Edin. Great mountains and fantastic guide!
In the last day we also did some climbing.

I took canyoning trip with them to one of the most beautiful canyons in Bosnia and Herzegovina as they are the only club that gives this tour.
I was amazed by the canyon beauty and by the professional work of two guides that were with us.
Not only did I enjoyed canyon it self I also enjoyed stories told By Edin Durmo the guide about Rakitnica and whole Herzegovina region.
If you have time this is must see in Bosnia :D

outdoor activities you'll never forget (or regret :) )
nice scenery, fresh air, variety of activities for both children and parents - zip line, artificial rock to climb on, paragliding, skiing (in winter time)....plus abundance of advises from Mr. Durmo that you will remember and cherish your whole life :)

Outside the city, but not too far away, in a beautiful forest. Possess artificial rock for rock climbing. Offer training of climbing for amateurs and for professionals and other extreme sports.

I joined a Scorpio activity for the first time in the winter 2009-10 and, since then, I have experienced several of the outstanding activities that they organize: ski touring, hiking, canyoning, climbing. I was never disappointed. Every single time Scorpio activities were well planned, professionally organized, uniquely original and extremely fun experiences! In addition, the people at Scorpio are not only professional but very nice, in particular its leader, the great and seasoned mountain guide Edin Durmo.
Without any doubt Scorpio is the best club in BiH, and possibly in the Balkans, and it has been a privilege and an honor to get to know the splendid mountains of BiH with them!
