Inaugurated in 1937, this multipurpose stadium facilitates sports in Banja Luka for over 80 years. Its seat capacity is just over 10,000 and football is the most important game being played and watched. FK Borac Banja Luka is the main tenant.
The stadium indeed looks rather old, but it meets international UEVA standards.

I always try and get to a game when I'm on holiday and this year's was Borac Banja Luka v NK Vitez.
Nice medium sized ground, in good condition. We sat in the covered stand down the side, which was mainly families and older people. The singing fans occupy the north stand behind the goal and made a good amount of noise, especially considering they had no roof. Shame there were no away fans.
Borac fans were very friendly and were very well treated once we got our Watford flag out to take some pictures. Going to a football game is always a good way to meet people and have a laugh.
The football was a decent standard and Borac won 1-0 with a penalty. You can buy food off people in the stand and you can get a beer from the stand outside and drink it in your seat. The toilets were surprisingly clean for an ex-Yugoslav football ground!
There is a little club shop, that for some reason doesn't take credit or debit cards on a Sunday.
Would definitely go to another Borac game if I get the chance.
