The Kokuragion Daiko Statue represents the tradition of drummers playing the instruments, praying for peace on earth, the continued safety of Japan, abundant crops, prosperity in business, and the safety of their families as the drums reverberate.

This is on the second floor entrance to the station. On a Sunday you can see the drummers practising in kokura castle grounds. I would not make a special trip to see it but if you are going for a train, it is quite pretty...More
