Then observatory tower offers a good view of the straits. We could see the bridge at one corner and there was an aircraft carrier in the Bay yesterday. Thing it was more for helicopters. Not bad!

For a town with such an abundance of early 20th Century buildings as Mojiko Retro Town, no visit would be complete unless you visit the most strikingly modern example of early 21st Century architecture which is the Mojiko Retro Tenbowsitsu. The 31st floor of this...More

The elevator has a glass wall so you can see everything going up and down,(a little unnerving). At the top I had an ice cream and enjoyed the view.

Free entrance to the museum and the observatory. Go to the top floor to take pictures with the Kyushu bridge as the background. 1 hour is sufficient for the observatory. There are nearby car park.

Located at the seaside between Kyushu island and mainland of Japan, you can see both sides without any disruption from here. You can look over a nice small town Moji, Shimonoseki on the other side, great sea and bridge between 2 islands. Nice and relaxing...More

Agree with other reviewers - relaxing to watch a portion of the daily 700+ ships that use the waterway. 270 degree view. Bar upstairs if you want a drink (coffee/soft/alcohol). Worth a look.

Although I forget what I paid, it was cheap and worth it. On a clear day the coastal view is amazing and you can see the layout of the whole Mojiko Retro area, to get your bearings.

The observation floor of an apartment high-rise seems weird, but it's a nice place to sit and look at Mojiko and the boats in Tsushima Strait. It wasn't crowded on a Sunday and had seating and a café I didn't try.

Part of Mojiko Retro the Observatory is well worth an hour of your time when there. Take the fast lift upto the top of the tower about 105m I think and just take in the stunning views across the harbour, the Kanmon Straights, across to...More

Amazing place and you can see the sea and around the city. The drinks are average but I like the most is the view from the observatory room. It was also nice to relax yourself at the top of the building.
