Kamakura Seaside Park Yuigahama Area
Nov 2019
It was very convenient for us to spend some time at this beach as our hotel was right across from it. It was a great afternoon for strolling as it was a sunny day and the temperature was quite mild for November. It is an expansive area to stroll along and there were local surfers out on the surf. This must be a pretty popular area when the surf is high. Nice to take time out from a hectic schedule of daily sight seeing. Nice to zone out and enjoy the sunshine and sea breeze.

Relaxing
Mar 2020
The beach is quite large and there are locals drying kelp at some parts of the beach. Seems like there are also horse riding available. Lots of kites flying in the area and they can also swoop pretty low, so better to be careful when you have food.

Wasted time really
Sep 2019 • Couples
The scenery is nice and the water is wet but the beach is dirty and nothing was open even at 3 PM. So no sunbeds, no music, nothing to drink and no umbrellas.

Flat beach, low surf

Nice strolling along this stretch of beach. Many hawks/eagles circle overhead. Signs warning about these birds are openly displayed.

So nice early in the morning

We went to the beach at around 7am and it was totally empty, save for a few local fishermen off towards the bridge. It began to fill up with surfers as the morning progressed.

It's a nice place to sit and look out over the bay, and not as crowded as some other beaches in the area.

Beach Day Kamakura
May 2018
Incredible to see all of the wind surfers out on the water. The beach is busy, the locals definitely take advantage. Not a lot of restaurants lining the beach like you might think in the USA. Definitely worth a walk down the beach. I caught it during the day and at sunset.

Calm and expansive with free loos!
Apr 2018 • Friends
Came here on a warm spring day. Enjoyed watching people collect shells and paddle board. I’m sure the surf is better in other months.
Free toilets at different points which is handy.

I don’t recommend taking a picnic. Many people got swooped down upon by hawks and crows. Not fun!

Kamakura seaside park
Mar 2018 • Friends
Saw lots of people in wet suits riding waves and sailboards. It was a very busy Sunday and the beach seaside was very long and lovely. It seemed to go on forever. Many families had picnics on the beach.

Alight from the Kamakurakoko-mae Station E08. Across from the station you can see nice view of the beach and even with Mount Fuji in sight.
