Yuigahama Beach is one of the main beaches in Kamakura. It's very big, flat (you can walk a lot until the water covers your knees) and very crowded. To me, nothing special. Near the beach you have several bars and restaurants. They didn't really check, but in the entrance there a sign that tells you what you can do and can't (cover your tattoos, don't smoke...)

As we collect a small quantity of sand from beaches of countries we visited we had to get to the beach when visiting Kamakura. Had a nice walk on this enormous beach with an enormous boulevard like you will find in very fancy crowded cities, but .... this one is still "vierge". Take your time to have a walk and enjoy the view on the Pacific 👌👌👌

Had a quick escape from Tokyo to find sun, sand and sea in Kamakura. Decent beach, a bit too cold during this season, worth visiting if you are in need of taking yourself out from a bustling city routine.

We stopped here after our visit to the Daibutsu and before going to Kamakura centre. The beach is small and right on the street, and it certainly isn't the "thin, white sand" some may want, but it was still nice to spend some time relaxing here after hiking in the woods and walking all day. The water was super warm and clean, so it was nice to take a swim there.

I think they should advertise this area as more “sailing” than touristy. Not a hugely great seafront based on lack of cafes and general entertainment. It’s nice to walk along and pretty. Very close to Enoshima and I believe the Olympic sailing will be held around this area. Lots of potential. Good place to go if you want to do .. nothing and listen to the sea. Clean and well looked after!

I would like to know why everywhere in Japan is so clean and everyone care so much about rubbish and I just found this beach soooo dirty. Such a shame!
