浄土宗の寺院

土浦駅から徒歩10分ほど。
1560年創建の浄土宗の寺院。本尊は阿弥陀如来。本堂は2004年築で木造瓦葺き。境内入ってすぐのところに秋葉神社が鎮座している。

土浦の駅からもこちらは歩けるぐらいの感じだと思います。本堂はとても新しくなっていました。浄土宗で16世紀ぐらいにこちらが創建されたそうです。土浦の歴史を感じます

11月に土浦城近辺を散策した時に参拝しました。高翁寺は、JR土浦駅から徒歩10分のところにある浄土宗（宗祖：法然上人）の寺院です。飯沼弘経寺末寺として1560年に創建された寺院です。境内の入口には、火防秋葉神社が祀られています。本堂等は平成16年に落慶した建物です。神社仏閣に興味がある方にお勧めのスポットです。
