鵜の捕獲場も見れる！

近くに鵜の捕獲場があり、見学できる時期だったので入ることができました。
鵜も飼われているので、見ることができます。諸々見るのに、３０分～４０分あれば十分です。すぐ近くに、道の駅的な「鵜喜鵜喜」という施設があるので、併せて行けます。

鵜飼の鵜の待機場

長良川の鵜飼が有名ですが、全国にたくさんある鵜飼場に向かう鵜と一年間囮になる鵜が鵜のパラダイスのゲージの中で飼われていました。鵜飼文化を守る重要な場所です。遠くから見守りたいですね。

実物の鵜が数羽飼われており、マスコミの取材も多いようです。鵜の捕獲場を見学した後訪問することをお勧めします。

長良川、宇治川を始め、全国で行われている鵜飼は、鵜がなくては、当然成り立ちませんが、ここが、その鵜の捕獲を行っているところです。昨年見た、長良川の鵜飼もここの鵜だと、再認識しました。素敵な場所です。

唯一のウミウの捕獲地で、捕獲場を期間限定で見学することができます。ウミウの生息地域は広く、近所で見かける方々も多いと思いますが、貴重な存在なので大切にしましょう。

鵜が観られます。

鵜を飼っている鵜の岬スイレン池公園に行きました。
睡蓮の季節はとても綺麗です。
長良川などの鵜飼は有名ですが、鵜飼に使うウミウを捕獲できるのは、全国でただ一箇所、こちらだけです。
この捕獲場は一般公開しています。
国民宿舎「鵜の岬」から遊歩道を少し歩くと、ウミウ捕獲場へのトンネルが見えてきます。入口では、案内人が出迎えてくれ、トンネルを抜けると、鳥屋（トヤ）と呼ばれるウミウの捕獲場になります。捕獲は、海面から約12mの高さの断崖絶壁に人が通れるだけのスペースを削って、丸太とコモで作った「鳥屋」（トヤ）でおこなわれています。
　公開は捕獲に支障のない７月から９月と１月から３月です。捕獲するところはご覧いただけませんが、捕獲者から直接ウミウの生態や捕獲方法について話を聞くことができます。
