Nagato Ninomiya
Apr 2021 • Solo
Iminomiya Shrine, dedicated to Emperor Chuai, Empress Jingu, and Emperor Oujin. This shrine was once Nagato Ninomiya, or the second shrine of this region. It is a very old shrine, but the actual building is the reconstruction after Meiji Restoration. In the precinct, there is a stone called “Onoishi”, or monster stone. It is said this is the site where the head of enemy’s general was buried.

Just up the street from the Jokamachi Chofu bus stop
Oct 2017 • Solo
It is at the crossroads of the main street in town and the street leading up from the Jokamachi Chofu bus stop. An interesting shrine. Lots of birds and some interesting colorful, chubby chickens running around.
