昔は、子供たちと一緒に響灘沿いのビーチ、特に吉母や土井が浜などに水泳に行ったものだが、今回は孫達と近場のビーチに行ってみた。水質調査でどこもＡＡランクになっていることを知ったからだ。管理棟があり、更衣室、シャワーが１００円で利用できるのは有り難い。昔の海水浴場では粗末な海の家などで、高いお金を払わされた記憶がある。今日はタクシーを利用したが、下関駅からバスもあり、西山口で降りる。

響灘や関門海峡に囲まれた彦島にある海水浴場です。知人から彦島にきれいな海水浴場があると聞き、行ってみました。
整備されたばかりのきれいな海岸。天気の良い日は視界いっぱいに青い海が広がります。魚が好む岩場もあって、ビーチの真ん中から突き出した埠頭では、釣りを楽しむ人の姿も。トイレや手洗い場などもあるので便利です。
下関駅から路線バスで10分ほど。近場のバス停は「西山口」です。駅でお弁当や飲み物を買って、ゆっくり自然を満喫してきました。

ジョギングの最中、夕暮れ時に通りかかりました。海面に夕日の光が反射してキラキラまやぶい景色と海辺の香りのする風が心地よかったです。海に向かって二本のコンクリートの出っ張りがあって、先まで行くとなお景色を楽しめました。
たまたまですが、夕日に向かってトランペットでアメージンググレースの練習をしている人がいて、また一味加えてました。

無料駐車場で海を見ながらランチ休憩をとりました。
トイレがあるし、眺めがいいし、最高です。
駐車場と砂浜の間に舗装した遊歩道があり、灯台付近まで散歩できます。
子連れで魚釣りすると良さそうです。
※連れるかはわかりませんが・・・
