Hamamatsu Castle surrounded by huge and nice park. You can choose your preferable place to hangout with your friend or family. There's a grass field too if you want to roll out the mat and enjoy the air. There's car who sold kakigori too which is very good and refreshing to eat

What I liked most about this park was that it is designed on several levels, so you can walk up on a higher area, or go down into more wooded areas. And the castle is located at the top. Lots of clean restrooms and walking paths.

The castle is something you can easily skip, it is a concrete replica and not really worth the time. The garden on the other hand is a great place to relax with all the features you expect from a traditional Japanese garden. It has this “something” in it what one calls

The castle is surrounded by a nice park and you can experience how the Japanese castles looked like inside. You can also go up to the top floor of the castle and get a view of the surroundings. It is the castle where Ieyasu Tokunaga grew up when he was a boy. Look up Ieyasu

Stops #6 & #7 of Ieyasu Promenade Walk A nice park which has Ieyasu Promenade Walk stop #6 Ieyasu’s Yoroikakematsu, stop #7 Hamamatsu Castle, a statue of Ieyasu and Hamamatsu Museum of Art. It has nice walking and jogging paths.
