It was a cold day though the sun was shinning - it was very windy as a result lot of sand was blowing - it was like being sand blasted - definitely not pleasant

If you want to feel like walking in the desert, this beach it's for you! Very impressive and peaceful, we went during a warm and quite afternoon: there are high dunes that create a wonderful landscape. The beach is huge and you have to walk to arrive near to the sea, but it's very worth it. A different a beautiful... More

It's a beautiful half sandy half pebbly beach 10-15 minutes from the city center by bus. To reach the beach you have to get through the amazing and not too big sand dunes. It's nice to feel the warm sand under your feet when the weather is just getting warm. Try to visit it on a sunny day, it's perfect!... More

The fist time I was on the ocean shore. I had some free time during conference so I decided to visit this place. Beach close to town. In November, it's empty, so you can sit anywhere on the pebbles. Waves are higher than in inland seas.

Just a 15-minute bus ride away from Shin-Hamamatsu is an almost Caribbean paradise of a beach. I've been on the beach 3 or 4 times, and always found it near-deserted. Near-perfect white sands which run for Kilometres await you at Nakatajima. Take some food and water, though, as there's very little as far as infrastructure there.

A huge sandhill and the Pacific Ocean view in the city. Good place to play for free with small kids. Know as one of the egg layibg site of Caretta caretra. From 3rd to 5th of May every year, Hamamatsu festival aka the kite flying festival- is held here. By public transpotation, Entetsu bus from Hamamatsu station is available.

You need time. There is a long walk on the big sand dune until you get to the pacific ocean. But usually there are hardly any people there. A nice place to just look at the ocean and sit at the vast sand dune.

Nakatajima Sand Dunes are a pretty visually uninteresting. The surf at the beach is much too treacherous for swimming. The beach can be extremely littered, but it can be a nice place to take a walk. Be prepared for constant winds, which makes it usually cooler in the summer than in town. There is a nice adjoining park, where you... More
