We are waterfall chasers, and this one was OK, not too impressive. The walk to the falls is along a road that leads to a camping area, no incline, very easy. It's a short walk, maybe less than 0.5 mile.

Brush Creek Falls is a beautiful 30-foot waterfall. It's on state property and there's a small parking area and trail to access the falls. Scramble paths lead down from the trail to the base, which makes a great place to relax and cool off. It's a popular location so try to arrive early. Just past the falls, the trail enters Brush Creek Preserve, a Nature Conservancy Property. The trail ends at White Oak Creek Falls, another scenic waterfall in three sections.

We had a group of 18 adults with children and all of us were very happy with our day at the falls. It is a short and well marked trail but rocky so it could be treacherous for older adults. There is a wooden fence where you can look down over the falls. Past the fence, there are a few different small paths down to the falls. I suggest the third one past the end of the fence. It is the least steep one. Shore is filled with large rocks and trees with roots to sit upon. Very relaxing with the mist coming off of the falls. It is posted No Swimming but few people were adhering to this. It was extremely hot and with most pools closed due to COVID it was too tempting to pass. Many people jump from the top but seemed a little risky to me. I did ask and the water is approximately 8-10 feet. Lovely area for a summer day.

I visited in the spring of 2018 and enjoyed walking along the river seeing all sorts of wildflowers, including ginger, blue and white hepatica, a nice little saxifrage, AND a lovely batch of walking fern.

If you love waterfalls, this is a must see. I have visited 3 times, and the flow was moderate, to full, and roaring. It is fascinating to watch. During a summer visit, we could feel the air cool as we walked down to the river and within the spray of the falls. I'm glad this area has been developed for hiking and water falling.
