This provided the best pictures we got of the new river bridge. Good value as it includes ride on tram to reach docking area. Cushioned seats were welcomed as better than other jet boat rides we have taken. Rick made sure that both sides of boat had ample opportunity to see the sights and Sue who collected our tickets was... More

My husband and I enjoyed the tram ride down to the river and the jet boat ride as well. The cost to do both was $25 per person- (A little on the steep side). We didn't make any kind of reservations, just showed up on a Saturday at 4:30 and was scheduled on a tour for 5:20, so not too... More

Make sure to call ahead to check that days' scheduled departures. There was a small group of kids with their parents that got there just before 11am (when the ticket booth opened) and had apparently pre-arranged their tickets and jet-boat tour. Since they occupied the first jet-boat departure of the day (as well as the first four gondolas), the next... More

I really enjoyed the jet boat ride to see the bridge. I probably should have waited for the leaves to change but none the less I thoroughly enjoyed the trip.

Enjoyed an entertaining ride to the New River Bridge and back. Lots of interesting stories. Prepare to get sprayed a bit with mist from the river.

Other than the great view from the view deck of this state park, the boat ride was the highlight of our stay there. We rode the tram down from the park and had a safety meeting with a lady down near the dock. Captain Rick gave us a great ride and was very comedic. We rode the boat under the... More

If you're not into kayaking or rafting, this is the way to spend some time ON the water. A tram (albeit a short one) takes you down to the river below. This is not a long pointed speedboat, but rather a rectangular shaped boat filled with seats, low enough to the water where you can reach the river from your... More

We stopped at Hawk's Nest Park to take the aerial tram to the gorge and saw that there was also a jet boat tour, so decide to take it. The jet boat is covered and one doesn't get wet in it, but it's a fun ride to see the gorge from a different perspective. The boat captain, Pete, is a... More

We decided to try out New River Jet Boats because it seemed like a fun way to see the New River Bridge. You take a tram down to the dock which is a very short trip down the hill. The boats aren't exactly jet boats, pretty old and not very fast at all. The trip only lasts about a half... More
