Took daughter and son in law along with 2 year old granddaughter to Emerald Downs.
They had complimentary pony rides, face painting, and of corse horse racing. Granddaughter loved the racing the best. Nice afternoon outing for whole family.
Came for a family night out. Had Groupon coupons with $40 In dining. Stayed inside in restaurant on 5th floor. Ordered French dips and almond chicken with fried rice. Both excellent. It was WSU/UW alumni night (Go Cougs!!) Which included $1 12oz beers (oh yeah)....More

The locals will have to fill in the blanks as to exactly where I was, but on Saturday around 3:30 - 4 we were approaching Seattle to go to Safeco Field (loved the Ballpark by the way). Kept reading the overhead flashing signs that said left lane closed at Spokane St. (had no idea how far ahead that was)...kept thinking, "not bad, just closing one lane, that leaves at least 2"...Ha! All of a sudden it stopped to a congested crawl, sat in that for a short while when up ahead I saw a sign...More

I'm glad you had a good weekend in spite of the traffic and the weather. (It's still raining today, but is supposed to be sunny tomorrow.) And you got to see the Mariners win!!! That's a good thing - unless you were cheering for the White Sox.
