Beautiful rocky beach with great tide pools and amazing views. It's a great place for kids (and adults!) to explore. There's a trail to the top of the cliff with beautiful views - it's worth the walk. Nice picnic area, clean restrooms. Great place for...More
On a sunny day this beach & trails are spectacular! Stunning blues, cliff face rocks, with moderately easy trails even with younger kids. Easy parking with restrooms available & great picnic options to enjoy time by the water.
Great little park just NW of Deception Pass. It has an underwater park for snorkeling. Span of view on Fidalgo Head is incredible. You'll see lots of painters doing the beautiful landscapes. See my picture for the best summary.
A visit in January? Oh yes, it's beautiful no matter when you go. No crowds this time of year, and very quiet area (except for the military jets zooming overhead). Later on, in the spring, the hills will be alive with wildflowers! Love the trees...More
Every time we visit Rosario we always find beauty regardless of the time of year, and regardless of the time of day.

This is a beautiful spot near Deception Pass, Washington. Some lovely, unspoiled, easy hikes -did some with kids. You end up with beautiful views of the San Juan Islands. BTW don’t forget to pay for parking!
We were driving from Vancouver BC to Silverdale WA and stopped at Rosario Beach. It was drizzling out but not raining hard. It was lovely to get out and take in the beach, the view and fresh air and the sounds of the surf on...More
So glad they made this beach area a park and not some new home development all walled off and gated. The view was nice and there is a wonderful tall wooden statue and large panels around it telling an old Indian legend about a girl...More
Been here a couple of times during my visits to Anacortes with the wife. The beach is easy to get to and has a wonderful view and decent hiking trails. Great to simply sit at the beach and enjoy the sounds of the waves.
