This is a great little place to learn a lot about the history of Anacortes and it's connection to the sea over the past 150 years or so. The displays are well marked and presented. The outside of the building has some of the colorful...More

This is a great little space full of Anacortes history. We learned so much and it was perfect for my 10 and 11 year old boys. The WT Preston was fantastic as well.

You can just do a self-guided tour of the snag boat, but we decided to take advantage of the guided tour ($8 ea for seniors). It took about an hour and was fun, educational and well worth it.

The visitor's center had some great information, but definitely pay the extra for the steamboat tour. It's really interesting to see how the boat was used throughout history

Loved the "snag boat"! Great place to take the family. The boat is on the shore now, but has a great history and the signage explains it all.

When I was a little kid I saw this boat working on a local river, and for many years I had seen it on dry land near the yacht harbor in Anacortes. At last I had a chance to board the boat and see it...More
