We came to Anacortes with a goal - to see Orcas. We did 2 whale watching tours and this was by far the best. The boat was comfortable, staff welcoming and knowledgeable - and the best was the whales. We saw a humpback and a family pod of orcas that we stayed with for almost an hour. It was an awesome experience and one we'll never forget.…

Review of: Anacortes Guaranteed Whale Watch Tour
I had a great time today whale watching with Island Adventures from Anacortes. I thought it was great, they had a wonderful, friendly crew, the naturalist was very knowledgable, and the ship was large enough that everyone (we had a full boat) could be by the railings, and it had a warm, cozy indoor cabin, with plenty of seating for all. I especially liked that while we were out the naturalist took photos and put them on a flash drive we were able to purchase. This freed us up to enjoy the experience, and not worry about taking pics.…

Review of: Anacortes Guaranteed Whale Watch Tour
This trip was a great experience with a knowledgeable, fun, and safe crew! They prioritized passenger safety and experience ahead of everything else. I cannot recommend this company enough. The boat was beautiful and clean. We did get to see a Humpback whale. Will be taking future cruises to try and see different kinds of whales. Very nice amenities (food cafe, open tabs allowed, a few gift items, naturalist, photos available for purchase, table-style seating on the lower deck, theater seating on the second deck, and outdoor open on the second and third). I was able to quickly communicate with the team by text message with a few follow up questions prior to the trip. Loved it, and will be going again AND again!…

Review of: Anacortes Guaranteed Whale Watch Tour
The boat is very large with multiple decks with indoor and outdoor seating. The seating indoors provides a chance to get out of the wind while also being able scan the waters for wildlife. They also have the option to bring food or purchase delicious hot food and drinks including alcoholic beverages for those of you like to enjoy a nice beer or wine while out on the beautiful Salish Sea. You may think a lot of people may diminish the experience but with this boat you don’t feel as if everyone is looking over each other’s shoulder or peaking around their heads. There is plenty of room and plus that is just that many more eyes looking for a glorious spout of a humpback whale or the dorsal fins of a pod of killer whales. I can’t say enough about the staff and crew. The captain kept things entertaining with his hilarious joke about the “Canadian aircraft carrier” and knowledge about the area. You can tell there is a camaraderie not only among the crew of the boat but also the locals and surrounding boats in the area. They work together to make sure you have a whale sighting. I appreciate that the crew is also very knowledgeable and research focused to give its patrons even more information about the individual whales. I would definitely recommend this voyage to anyone and would myself go again in a whales gigantic heartbeat.…

Tyson, Sam and Gunner were great. Sam was very knowledgeable about the marine life and birds in the northwest area of Washington state. Tyson did a great job navigating the boat since the waters were rough at times due to it being a rainy day. We did get to see Bigg killer whales. We wish we could of seen the whales a little closer. It was a fun day. …
