I had a thoroughly enjoyable day with Stephanie on our hike at Deception Pass State Park. She let me set the pace, and off we went up a trail with beautiful views of the water scenery below. We identified plants and wildflowers, birds and lichen, all while sharing our love of exploring the outdoors. Stephanie had water, snacks, and hiking poles at the ready, and she helped me safely navigate some of the tricky places on the trail. I’m 70 and have osteoporosis, so I was cautious about some of the rocky areas, but she guided me through without a hitch. I highly recommend Skagit Guided Adventures, because I’m sure she would use the same care with all her adventurers. I felt like I was on a hike with my best friend!

It is so peaceful and relaxing to hike with Stephanie on Cypress Island! My friend and I spent a wonderful day there, away from city life. Stephanie is an experienced guide - she planned a perfect outing. The hike is lovely, with stops at beautiful pocket beaches. We learned about local wildflowers and plants, birds, and sea mammals. I highly recommend this trip!

Stephanie was a delight to spend the morning with and we learned so much about the beautiful Skagit Valley as well as their wonderful Tulip Festival. You could do it on your own, but you’d miss out on the rich history of tulips, of the Valley growers and the amazing stories of how this region dominates the US tulip industry. She was also extremely helpful in suggesting natural attractions in the surrounding area, as well as dinner at Anthony’s in Anacortes, which had the best King Salmon around.

The North Cascades Tour with Stephanie was great. I was surprised and happy to learn that it was a private tour with just me and my friend - which she explained is always the case. The park was beautiful and Stephanie was a wealth of knowledge who tailored the day around what we wanted to see and do. Her pleasant personality and flexibility made it a day to remember. Worth every penny!

Thank you Nancy for your cheerful review! This is exactly why we keep our tour group size very small (1-5 Adventurers): 1) it gives us the ability to cater to your personal interests and activity level; and 2) it promotes the possibility of turning into a private tour (although not guaranteed). Glad it happened for you and that you enjoyed your Guided Adventure into the North Cascades National Park!

Four of us ventured to Cypress Island with guide Stephanie Fernandez from SKA. Our trip was wonderful. Stephanie took every opportunity to talk nature, ecology, science, etc. which made the trip not only exciting but educational. All four of us agree that gude Stephanie is the bees knees.
