If you’re traveling on the W&OD trail, this is a great place to stop for a beverage and a snack. Near Smith Switch in Ashburn, you can have a beer, get your tires pumped, have a seat on the porch and generally cool out.

Stopped by on July 4th to fill a growler to enjoy later during the fireworks. I'm was familiar with their beers, but this was the first time stopping by as I in the neighborhood. I had a little trouble finding the place, as there wasn't too many signs for directions that I could see. Had to get out my iPhone for google maps, but even that put me on the wrong side of the warehouse. The place was semi-crowded with people stopping off of the WO&B trail with their bikes for a break. By the way - the beer was good from my growler.

My wife and I were on a leisurely Saturday afternoon bike ride along the W&OD Trail. We stopped in at the Old Ox Brewery after noticing their sign on along the trail. This establishment is just steps from the trail; very easily accessible.
They have an open-air format in summer and have chairs and canopies outside as well. The craft beer selections are plentiful; I opted for the draft Summer Ale which was refreshing and not heavy; ideal for a break during a bike ride. The bartenders were friendly and provided a nice atmosphere. I would recommend a visit to Old Ox Brewery!

I've had some of the best tasting beers at Old Ox. Whoever is in the back brewing up that magic should be commended.
I am a fan of dark beers and their Black Ox is one of my favorites. They often have different variations of it which are worth trying. Around Valentine's day they make a dark beer inspired by Mexican hot chocolate called Kristin's Passion. It is brewed with cocoa nibs, chilis and cinnamon and it is really well balanced. I feel like mixing those kinds of ingredients in beer can go wrong quickly, but they seem to have a knack for finding the right balance of being able to taste the flavors without hitting you over the head with them.
I was skeptical about the summer version call Kristin's Wrath - a jalapeño IPA, but tried it on the basis of Kristin's Passion and was pleasantly surprised.
My absolute favorite was an ESB they had on Nitro. Positively amazing. Wish they made that more often!

Stopped in Old Ox Brewery in Ashburn for the first time to enjoy their craft beer. We love Old Ox Black Ox. We had a good flyer of different beers. The staff was super friendly welcoming and helpful. We were having fun until the crying screaming kids running around got too loud. Our friends and us decided to leave but we will come back in the nice weather and try their deck out.

Went there for a fundraiser for the local fire department. Staff was very friendly even with the large crowd.
Had two different beers. Both very good. Place was clean and well kept.
I’ll be back!

8 or 9 unusual beers all craft brewed on premises..Interesting! Unfortunately the staff does not know about the beers nor can they compare. The German Pilsner was supurb..I tried it by accident. They need a three glass beer flight or neeed to educate the staff..Like If you like Sam Adams Try______

Old Ox is on my way home so I stopped in for a pint and ended up leaving with a few six packs of their hoppy place IPA. A lot of really good beer on tap and the service was good as well. There was a great food truck outside and it seemed like a relaxed space.

Several choices on the beer menu all brewed on site. The strongest beer was around 6.5%...the West Coast IPA. I found that to be very good. The clientele are a mix of local regulars and cyclists coming from the nearby W&OD bike path. We were the latter. A food truck in the parking lot the night we were there offered burgers, jerk chicken and Caribbean style food. You place your order and they will find you inside. Can't beat that! Will definitely come back.

Great place for a relaxing evening and some great beer tasting. Cornhole tourneys on W, Thursday keep the place hopping mid week.
