Not only will they teach you how to brew beer and let you use their equipment but they have many outstanding beers of their own you can drink. I like the pay by the ounce pricing and the innovative way the track your pours. They also have some tasty BBQ and I love that they have pool tables and fun board games to play with friends while enjoying great beer. My favorites are the Queen & Country Ale and the Valentines Chocolate Stout. They rotate recipes so you will always find something new from time to time. For people who complain about foamy beer it is obvious that they have never had fresh beer or they don’t know how to pour from a spout. Any newly tapped keg will also be foamy for the first few dozen ounces as well. Stouts on a nitrous system you pour straight down and let the head settle, enjoy watching the cascade. Pilsners and IPA you pour holding the glass to the side. You can straight pour lagers and ales but if you prefer a slanted pour that is fine as well. These guys have done a great job and this is a real gem for beer lovers in Loudoun County. I will be back here often. Give this place a try and sample all of the wonderful beers.

So they had the official grand opening today and we thought we would try it. 20 beers on tap, just make sure look at the number on top, not the number of the pool ball. Very confusing!! Lots of beer choices and yes need to be careful with the foam. I agree it is a little pricey but no different than an $8 beer you buy somewhere else. The best secret is the BBQ inside the place. Brisket is very good, didn't care for the Mac n cheese. Will come back.

What do you say about a place where you can drink at any given time 20 uniquely on premise brewed beers, tour the facility, brew your own, play pool or shuffleboard, watch your favorite sport, bring in your own food, or eat from one of the featured food vendors, well you have found that place in The Craft of Brewing. All I can say is "AWESOME!" I enjoyed everything about this place, but mostly I think it is the passion of the owner Travis who will give you a lesson in beer brewing, share his passion or point you to the tap wall where you can taste until you find your brew for the day. I am so inspired and excited by this venue that I am planning to brew a batch myself. I am looking forward to my next visits...

If you like foamy, expensive beer this is the place for you. The pricing is funny—higher than what you think you’re paying. It is similar to Parallel Wine Bistro in that you pour your own beer using a card. NO ONE when I was there could pour a beer without a huge head. Frustrating! Ashburn has so many pubs with normally priced great-tasting beer. I’d go elsewhere.

Hi Susan, We appreciate your review. Self-service taps are a bit tricky and we find that there's often a learning curve, but we are always looking for better ways to help people pour the perfect beer (pouring beer takes a bit more technique than wine because of the carbonation). We do have individual regulators and throttles for each tap, allowing customers to adjust the flow and thereby the amount of head in their glass. In terms of price, some beers are more expensive to make and are therefore priced higher than than others, but during the week we always run specials, so you might want to start there (we rotate through all of our beers for specials so keep an eye out for it if you like a specific beer). Again, we appreciate the feedback.
