High Energy, Good Food/Drinks

Often have live music here making a lively scene. Nice craft/draft beer selection. Very tasty food as well. Can get loud easily (as expected with a club/bar).

It's a little more 'off the beaten path' of Clarendon when referring to the scene but right in the heart of all the action. Good food with veggie options, good coffee and great music.

IOTA is locally owned and very hospitable, offering delicious food and drinks and a small but cozy and accommodating setting that hosts regular music (usually a small fee) and poetry (no fee) events that draw wonderful performers. Do come! We go there often.

We love this place. hey always have great bands. Very diverse, but always good. Superb beer selection... local brews plus other great craft brews from around the country. Even PBR on tap for hipsters that like to pretend it's a craft beer. The food is solid as well, plus they have the same coffee they serve at the White House.

Visited during a trip to DC - decent local music bar with a claim to fame mention in The West Wing! We had dinner - place is nothing fancy but service was exemplary and food reliable, band was setting up but we didn't have time to stay. Definitely worth a stop by for a drink or quick bit of nosh... Tried to call Iota more than 10 times this past week to ask if they take reservations. Have a party of 10 that want to come for dinner and a show. No one ever answered. always got message that your mailbox was full. Finally drove from Alexandria to personally ask about reservations and was told no. Not even for a... More

I give this place a "very good" rating not because it's actually very good, but because it's so different than the other bars on the Wilson/Clarendon Blvd strip of Arlington. Unlike its yuppier, more clean-cut "brethren," Iota has a hole-in-the-wall feel that is somewhat refreshing among the sea of high-end spots. This is not to say, of course, that Iota... More

I have been to this place atleast a few dozen times and have seen some really good music there. The pluses: They book some good bands and have a recently greater selection of beers. The bad: the whole place looks like a Dive bar and needs some TLC and a makeover. Also sound system needs updating, vocals are usually weak... More

I didn't have any of their food, but hands down, this is the sorriest excuse for a live music venue I've ever been to (and I've been to shows in a concrete basement). The so-called sound guy couldn't mix a band to save his life, and not a single one of the employees could seem to give a damn as... More
