I decided to treat my husband to something different for Vday since he makes me feel like every day is Vday! Made reservations for this dinner club since they had live entertainment too. We were not disappointed! The decor reminds you of a 1920's Upscale...More

Part of our weekend getaway planned by my husband. We are in our mid 40's but love Blues, Jazz and Big Band music. Came to Alexandria specifically for the Harold Melvins Blue Notes show being held at The Carlyle Club. Had never been to this...More

I wasn’t prepared for how completely beautiful the club was on the inside. It’s dark with a big chandelier in the bar with a marble top. There were lots of old-fashion drinks on the menu and the bartender, Josh was as vibrant as the Cubano...More

This is one of Alexandria’s best kept secret. Food is too notch. I’ve never had a bad meal. I like that even though this is fine dining they give you shovel it in your face servings of desserts. Whenever a plate of food or a...More

Last evening was the first time we had visited the club. I was shocked when we arrived at our table no. 63. I had purchased the table for four. The diagram on the seating chart was misleading. Table 63 had an obstructed view backed up...More

The “supper club” experience is still alive and well at The Carlyle Club. While our waiter left a lot to be desired, I was in awe of the venue. It really is reminiscent of times past where folks enjoyed good music and a good meal....More

The Club is nice, friendly staff but the worse and most expensive martinis we have ever tried. Music was ok and the overall experience with food was decent.

New York (Carlyle Club) to Society Hill Philadelphia (6 Replies)
Hi, We will be in NY on 31 May 2010 and will be at the Carlyse Club (E76th and Madison) for a show until late in the evening (Probably around 11pm or midnight). I need to get to Philadeplphia (Society Hill Sheraton - One Dock Street, 2nd and Walnut Streets, Philadelphia) for a conference that starts on 1 June 2010 - morning. What would be the best way to get from NY to Philadelphia? We are happy to take a bus or train. We would prefer to travel after the show as we don't have a nights...More

Thanks for that, we will try the train, or if that cuts too much into our concert, we may try the bus. Thanks again for the prompt reply. This may be ridiculously indulgent, but how much would it cost for a private car? (Like a limo service, but not as flash)?
