A nice little visitor's center in the heart of Old Town. It's nothing huge or special, but it's got plenty of brochures, some souvenirs, and friendly staff that can answer any question you might have. You can get a lot of information on Old Town tours here too. I recommend stopping by here even if it's just for a little bit.

The Old Town Visitor Center overlooks City Hall and Market Square and is a perfect first stop for those new to the city. And the free Trolley drops off right in front of the building. It’s housed in the historic Ramsay House but, has been updated with public restrooms and information desks. You can get information and maps as well as tickets to a bunch of tours.

I stopped by the Alexandria Visitors Center in July 2021 during my visit to Alexandria. The staff were very helpful and provided me with a booklet and map of Alexandria. I had limited time in Alexandria but if you are visiting Alexandria I recommend that you stop here first.

The best part of this building is they have a bathroom you can use in the basement. There's not much to see inside. They used to sell a "key to the city" that included admission to all the local museums. If they still offer it, then buy it because it's a good deal.

We live in Old Town, and often take our guests to the Visitors Center so they can get lots of ideas of what to see and do and we can narrow it down to their preferences. The historic house and nice garden are good to see all on their own. Also, they have two bathrooms downstairs -- very good to know about as you're enjoying King St.

This was our first stop to get brochures. While the visit was not anything special, it was good to have a place to get information before we started our tour. The place itself need a refresh.

The Center is conveniently located on Alexandria's major shopping street. There are maps and information galore and a helpful staff. Some of the information is sketchy and when asked about this, the answers are even more sketchy. So...certainly visit the Center, but be satisfied with what's available. If you want more, stick with Google.

My cousin and I visited the Visitor Center for info for our tour of Old Town. We received a lot of information, maps, and bought the “ Key to the City” with great discounts to museums and attractions. The young man, Ben, who helped us was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I highly recommend you make this your first stop in Alexandria.

This well managed visitors center is located in a historic building in the heart of Old Town, In addition to resources about the area, there are public restrooms. It's across the street from a city maintained parking garage.

We were surprised at how tiny this place was and how few brochures they had. I think they could do a much better job at educating tourists about the many things to do and see in Alexandria.

If you're looking to get to DC from Old Town Alexandria, just head up King St from the river (walk west), and about a mile away is both a metro stop and an Amtrak stop.
