We came on a Sunday just after school finished for the year. I was surprised at how quiet it was also quite overcast with storms expected so that may have kept people away. Unfortunately their internet was down on the day so luckily we had cash as they couldn't take any eftpos payments at the gate or the snack shop.... More

Ok, for kids. I went with my disabled daughter and could not take her into the deep end because she cannot swim - ok. Then I noticed the lifeguards always move their heads like robots - they said it is "required". Later a little girl got her finger stuck in a fence. I could leave my daughter to go to... More

Good fun with swings and slides. As a kid or a midget, enjoy! As an adult, prepare to deal with bugs and skunks. It is not pastoral, but it is not always user-friendly.

I have been coming to this pool for the last 15 years or so with various grand kids. It is always a good time, It is nearby and the admission is reasonable. What could be more fun than floating on tubes while the waves are rolling and going down those curvy slides? But I do have a few complaints. The facility... More

We really enjoyed the water park. Reasonable close, easy to get to and affordable. The wave pool was the kids ( ages 6&5) favorite. Snacks weren't outrageously expensive. Lots of longer sand chairs.

Recently took my daughter to Great Waves Waterpark on a hot and sunny day. Anti-climatic at best. Understand we are not a Disney, but don't waste your money. Wave pool is small and crowded with limited number of tubes. The slides take an inordinate amount of time for the minimal lines. After and hour my 8 year old was ready... More

Another Northern Virginia Regional Park, Cameron Run is a terrific spot for the entire family on a summer day. The Great Waves section is very exciting with its constant ebb and flow of water as well as the numerous slides that spill into the basin. The batting cages are open for baseball players (and fans) who want to sharpen their... More

It's so heartwarming to see these college baseball top athletes compete each summer in the Cal Ripken league. Tickets are only $1 on Mondays, $5 other times. The athletes spend the summer playing ball as they are hosted by local families in their homes. They play their hearts out, and some in fact do go on to play in the... More

we love Great Waves at the Cameron Run Regional Park...it's our beach in the 'hood...an oasis nestled between I-95 and the CSX railroad tracks. The facility has a large wave pool and an astro-turfed "beach" surrounding the pool. A great respite on the weekends during the summer. The facility fills-up quickly on the weekends...get there early to ensure entrance. The... More
